So heading out to Phandalin then? (All of that info he can share along the way or quickly etc. I mean there is no more info, just that. I hope this makes sense.)
You may all now adjust your characters up 275 XP, this should get you all just over level 2.
(if anyone needs assistance please let me know. Once you add the XP you will need to manually adjust your level up to 2nd level - I will allow multiclassing provided your stats support the new class. Levels are split between the two classes in that case so level 1 in each. )
Velshir reflects on the party's little adventure. He had had a bad start, some kind of mental block perhaps, at the thought of violence, but necessity had forced him to quickly overcome it. He felt... more confident, surely, but something more. He felt an inner wellstring of strength. Violence was unfortunately sometimes necessary to achieve a greater good. This did not run counter to his inner moral code. Now he knew that he was capable of bringing his physical abilities to bear, as a tool to accomplish something good. He felt more in tune with himself than ever before, having passed this crucible.
Yes, let us know if it wasn't so simple, like we couldn't remember where we hid it and have to look for it, or the animal is missing, otherwise I had assumed we got the ox cart.
Agreed, I can't see us, let alone Sheyla leaving their animals there. She would would remind them to grab them, plus its likely be just a little bit more time to do that if they headed back to the road the way they came.
(Yes, it would be on the way anyways, and nothing disturbs it. The supplies are left behind in Klarg's cave - correct?)
Nothing further disturbs you on the way.
The rutted track emerges from a wooded hillside, and you catch your first glimpse of Phandalin. The town consists of forty or fifty simple log buildings, some built on old fieldstone foundations. More old ruins—crumbling stone walls covered in ivy and briars—surround the newer houses and shops, showing how this must have been a much larger town in centuries past. Most of the newer buildings are set on the sides of the cart track, which widens into a muddy main street of sorts as it climbs toward a ruined manor house on a hillside at the east side of town.
As you approach, you see children playing on the town green and townsfolk tending to chores or running errands at shops. Many people look up as you approach, but all return to their business as you go by.
Sildar seems much more at ease.
“My friends,” he says, “let us secure lodgings. I’m told the local inn is very quaint.”
Here is the player's version of the map - you enter at the top. To the right of the map are what you can tell from signs so far. (the ones showing parts of arrows you might not be able to tell initially.)
Velshir would like to go to the general store to see if they know about the blue lion symbol. It would be good to alert the owners sooner rather than later, before the cave gets reoccupied by something or other.
A lean and balding human male shopkeeper of fifty years with a kindly manner smiles and waves as your Ox cart rolls near the first structure on the left. "Hello, hello! I had feared you'd run into trouble along the way. So happy to see you've arrived safe." He turns and shouts behind him, "Ander! Thistle! Come unload this cart!" Then turns back to your group, "You'll be wanting your pay." He says and reaches for a pouch at his waist.
This is Elmar Barthen - proprietor of Barthen's Provisions - the biggest trading post in Phandalin and the reason you've come to town.
Sildar nods to the group and says, "I'll let you handle your business here, I need to see about getting your money for the escort," and heads on down the road. "I'll be staying at the Inn this evening, so that's where you can find me. I thank you again."
Velshir helps the lads unload the cart, and when he gets a chance, he mentions to Mr Barthen,
“We had some trouble with goblins on the way, and we found some supplies that they’d stolen. They carried the mark of a blue lion - does that mean anything to you?”
"Ah yes, that's the symbol of the Lionshield Coster, a merchant company down the road across the way from the Stonehill Inn. Speak to Linene, she'll be eager to recover anything she can and likely offer you a reward as well. Speaking of coin, here is 10 gold for each of you, as promised."

Iymbryl will accompany Velshir. He would also ask the owners if they know of any other depradations the goblins may have been causing in the vicinity.
