@Joshua - there is an abundance of magic here and the area lights up quickly when he casts. In the cart all of these items -> Several potions (look like healing), an interesting pair of boots that look very fine, a dwarvenlooking Tankard with a jolly look, then another Dwarven Tankard with a very serious one, a jar of beads of two different colors, a bag of jelly beans, a sack of skipping stones, a skull cap with a devilish look to it, a decanter, a curious looking chest with an ornate lock, an ear horn, a tobacco pipe, a bottle of perfume, a perfectly white stone, and some small metallic discs with a design of some sort of feather on it plus the talking dolland the spectacles Prentiss is looking at. On Coralie - without too close of an investigation her cloak, her dress robe, her staff, and several other items on her person you can't see closely. There is no magic on the girls or the man, the horse or the actual cart. There is a faint residual of magic on the sleeve of Velshir's shirt, but fading. Most everything radiates either Transmutation, Abjuration or Evocation. The staff glows the brightest with likely healing/restoration type magics. The decanter, the goggles and the chest also seem to radiate brighter but you're sensing mostly convenience/beneficial type magics. Coralie seems very aware of your study, but doesn't object.
Coralie reaches into the cart and withdraws the stone and one of the discs designed with a feather. "This,"she holds out to Cal Pol, "is a miniature version of the cleansing stones in the exotic inns of distant lands. Just touching it will cleanse you and your clothing of the filth from the day. You may try it." Looking at her other hand, "And this item, holding up the metal disk will provide you with one soft landing from the height of over 20 feet. It does not work at heights shorter. It was also enchanted to send a message to me should the bearer have a great need and it hasn't been used. I will come if it is within my power to reach you."
She thinks for a moment. "You do not have anything that I desire or at least I don't believe so and I have little use for coin. Perhaps a bargain with one of your friends for a spell for each? Except, I think I have something....yes, here. Would you cast one of your spells into one of these?" She holds out a gem that looks like a Bloodstone that she has withdrawn from a pocket of the cloak. "I have another if you wish both items and are willing to do so."
“ alas, I can not ask them to have me in their debt so early in our friendship. Perhaps another time when our paths will meet I will have something of use to trade with you.”
Cal pol is full of smiles and eye contact with Coralie,“ You are very kind, I propose we trade for cleansing stone and you throw in the metal disk. I assume it works both ways and means you and your girls can contact me anytime you wish. From strangers today we can become good friends in a few tomorrows!.”
Prentiss loos sorrowful at the price Coralie quotes. "I cannot give my 'spells' over" he says, staring at his feet.
"The curse just grows within me. The crystal helps me to focus it, but I do not study or learn the powers I have. They are a burden, and I must learn to live with them by using them for good. To make amends"
He manages a brief half-smile at the kindly lady.
"But I promise you this, Ms Coralie: I shall find something of value to you so that when next we meet I can trade with you. And I have a feeling that we will meet again"
Coralie smiles back at Cal Pol and you notice for a brief instance that she is a beautiful old woman. "I fear I am beyond such charms, but I would consider if you make me a promise. In Neverwinter there is a child, an orphan who barely survived a raid some cities away. I left her in the care of a couple - Zacharias and Cathleen Runeheart, humble farmers living with relatives for now. I would ask that you check in on them either by messenger or in person and gift them 100 g if the child is still with them and well, when you are able. Her name is Caxilie. You may have both items for this." If he is willing to make this promise, she will give him the disc and the stone.
She turns to Prentiss. "You are right, we shall meet again. I will look forward to it."
"You are all welcome to stay at our camp for the evening, we will set off early at first light as have many more days of travel, I am sure. Nothing will disturb us this evening. I will be by the campfire for a while should anyone else wish to discuss items."
Prentiss will set up his bedroll near to the fire and settle down for the night. Something about Coralie's words was overwhelmingly reassuring, and he was sure that he would be safe to sleep for a full night. Such a treat after a few days on the road, watching their backs and fighting all manner of monsters. He reads a few sonnets from his book to rest his mind and then rests his head, sure that there will be no nightmares tonight.
Joshua's eyes seem to light up at all the magic that is shown to him. After looking at the doll one last time he returns it. "My lady, much like my friend here, my magic comes from within. Perhaps we may come across some scrolls with spells or other such magic items, is there some way to know where you might be so that we can be sure to seek you out? Some kind of item or charm that you could bestow upon us?"
Velshir will run a few exercises with his new great club, familiarizing himself with its weight and balance. Then he will settle in for his nightly meditation.
Loren is particularly captivated by literally everything so far enumerated. His interest in particular lies on the fine pair of boots, though the skipping stones, tobacco pipe, ornate chest and the ear horn all take second place with a four-way tie.
"Well, I don't know how any of that... spell stuff... really works, but a lot of this seems really cool. Is there really nothing I or anyone else here can do to interest you for a trade? No errand or favor we can do to call it even?"
She smiles to Cal Pol and then her face grows briefly serious,"I take you at your word," and passes him the disc and the stone. "They are yours."
She turns to Joshua and hands him a disc with a feather on it as well. "Should it not be used to catch your fall, it will call me should you wish it to."
Then just as Loren finishes his request, the man returns to camp in a hurry, and nods to Coralie before standing back to wait for discussion to complete.
Coralie looks back at him briefly, "There is something...if you feel you are able." Looking solemn and slightly doubtful. "It appears my fears were correct and the Owlbears are a mated pair not too far from here. Would you consider ridding the forest of them? They are responsible for many deaths and more in future should they breed. If you will do this for me, I will give you three items from the cart of your choosing. Should you wish more, I will trade for one magical item of any sort each. My grandson can tell you where they are should you take on this task."
You may all settle in for the night making camp here or elsewhere should you prefer. You've seen no reason for concern in this camp and they will work out guard rotations with you should you all wish.
Before resting for the evening, Calvin sits with several of you and gives you information regarding their location should you agree. They appear to be north nearly a day's journey just inside the forest, and reachable by late evening.
(will any pre-sleep actions retroactively, any supplies you wish to purchase or trade will be accommodated by Leigh and Emele as they have ample at the moment.)
The night passes peacefully and you awaken to the smell of another pot of fresh stew, eggs and coffee which must have been started during Leigh's last watch of the night. You don't remember seeing any of this in the cart, but it smells delicious and is nearly done.
Rolled and tied neatly sticking out of Velshir's pack is a piece of parchment. Calvin approaches Cal Pol in the morning draws out on another piece of parchment a fairly detailed map of where the Owl Bears' Cave is.
You may all process a 'Long Rest' on your character sheets.

AS Joshua takes the doll he will turn slightly and cast Detect Magic. Where else is he picking up magic from?
Velshir purchases the club for 2 silver. Finding nothing else of interest, he will return to the campfire, content to be lost in his own thoughts.
