The companions dress themselves and check each other over then ready themselves to move out.
The majority of the mercenaries outside look more like Rushdi but there are a smattering of other folk among them.
( I'll need a communal Sleight of Hand and Performance check for the group. Gajesh is going to need to do something else, the rest of you can pass as ' human' as long as no one gets too close.)
The companions actually made a fairly convincing group of Mercenaries and ' guests', the two Orang Bunian, Krikoris and the Uce did their best to disguise their features by brushing out their hair and wrapping fabric about their heads.
Mal and Rushdi were dressed as two rather well off Lokanan....and that left Gajesh...
They made their way back to the entrance without running into any further patrols, listening at the bottom of the shaft they couldn't hear any conversation above...or see any shadows denoting guards directly at the shaft entrance.
"Alright, this is it. Remember, walk like you own the place, and if anyone calls out to you, turn your head slightly away and wave your hand dismissively. Makes them think you heard them but you're doing something important. If it's angry shouting, then we run." Mal is visibly nervous but talking almost to himself at this point.
Krikoris nods, "I can also manipulate their fires if we get close enough, cause a bit of a distraction."
Control Flames to cause any open flames to flare up or snuff out or ignite nearby tents from 60 feet away. Should cause enough of a disturbance for us to slip out.
Gajesh shapes himself into a palm civet and slinks behind the group as they emerge. The first thing the group notes is there are far fewer mercenaries about than there were when they entered and there is a smell of smoke in the air.....there are no guards at the tunnel entrance and any mercenaries that do take note are distracted almost instantly by Keikoris judicious use of his fire magics.
Moving swiftly through the camp the companions soon clear its boundaries and move out of the temple area, there are a large number of nervous looking Lokanan citizens milling about on the street.
Looking out over the city in the dim light there can be seen the orange glow of fire from the Garunam quarter......there is the badly beaten body of a Garunam courier slumped on the side of the road that the Lokanan are studiously avoiding looking at....
Mal whispers back "There's always tension, but this looks really bad."
Mal goes in to check the courier. If he's breathing, he'll try to help him up and follow after Khutulun. If he's dead, he'll check the body for messages or anything that might reveal why he was beaten.

The man is very dead, looks like he struck his head on the stones lining the roadway, he has a single message on him a report on textile prices with the address of one of the nearby Lokanan homes.
Following after Khutulun there are curious looks at the make-up of your group and your dress but no one calls out or approaches....
( Mal and Khutulub are heading to Kiwas....everyone else following or do you have other concerns?)
Krikoris removes his disguise, but moves to follow the others, curiously looking around, partly to try and figure out what's going on and partly to make sure no one tries to attack the group.
The group headed at a pace south-east toward the Dock District where a stone wall twice as tall as a man blocked off the Garunam quarter from the rest of Parakan a single gate providing the only entrance or exit.....at least it usually did but the gate had been wrenched open and cast down, A half-dozen Lokanan people dressed in red sarong and white vests ( Bapak Isows guards ) lie on the ground badly beaten, their weapons and shields gone.
( If anyone is not accompanying the rest of the group please advise).

Krikoris leans over to Mal and whispers, "is this normal?"
"I think it looks like there is big trouble up ahead... maybe moves have been made. I need to check on Mistress..."
Khutulun will start jogging towards the compound.

Krikoris moves to check on the fallen men.
The most injured guard has a badly bleeding headwound but seems otherwise sound the others are simply bruised and battered.
" Damn mob....there was no reasoning with them."
"Which way did they go? What are they anry about... are they after anyone?"
