Rollo remembers from his studies as an initiate that the water cultists took the name the Cult of the Crushing Wave for themselves. They are very mercenary and are always looking for rich loot to increase their wealth and develop their schemes.
Looking at the map that Coal was handed, Rollo recognises the symbol of the water cult marked crudely over Rivergard Keep.
Coal stands next to Rollo and notices how his attention is drawn to a specific part of the map. What is it my friend? What has drawn your attention so?
It would appear my friend that the cultists may have a stronghold here in Rivergard Keep. I would suggest that If we wish to hunt them, we start here. They are a mercenary group but dangerous none the less
I tend to agree my dear Merry, these cultists seem a more pressing priority, and we have a lead if we ever wish to pick up the trail of these tomes in future. If you'll have me I'd be happy to assist!
Merry turns to the rest of the group, making her cat eyes big and clasping her paws together, in a begging motion as she says excitedly, Can we keep him?! Can we keep him?!
Coal chuckles softly Before we go do we want any of these dwarven texts that Shoalar has in stock? If we find the missing caravaners they may be pleased to have some of their property returned.
Looking relieved at Coal's suggestion Nibor nods firmly
Quite Master Coal, the deckhouse is right there after all! Shall we see if he'd be willing to part with them? This Shoalar did provide us with this map and information after all so maybe we can come to some agreement?
Glancing at Merry
...even if all the information maybe wasn't given quite as freely as he may believe eh?
He makes a gesture that looks like he's waggling his eyebrows...despite not having eyebrows
Why but of course! How rude of me not to have offered.
He disappears into the deckhouse and re-emerges with five tomes with simple but ornate covers. One of them has a ring shaped stain on the cover as if a mug of ale had been resting on it. He brushes the cover sheepishly and hands the books over to Coal.
May as well keep them, on account of you all being so nice. Books don't do well on boats anyhow, and we'll be pushing off shortly.
By the Moon...you are a handy bunch indeed. You have my thanks, while I would love to spend some time researching these tomes maybe we'd be best pushing on?
Master Shoalar, you have been most kind. Before we go, is there anything else we need to know that could help us "handle" these cultists that are causing such bother?"
The clouds clear from Shoalar's eyes again and he casts a foul glare at Merry. He knows exactly what has just happened and he is none too pleased about it. His eyes narrow and the jovial tone is gone from his voice.
I don't appreciate having my free will taken from me. Ever. That's why I don't work for anyone and that's why we live on the move. Damn your eyes for that.
He spits over the side of the boat.
As for the cultists. Kill them. All. The only good one is a dead one. Mark my words though, do NOT underestimate their leader. I've never met him but I've heard tales of fell power. As angry as I am about what you just did I still want them dead.
We're off. Good luck.
The boys unhook the boat and the halfling pushes off with a pole.

Rollo having heard of the cultists, tries to think back to see if he recognises the name and anything about them:

Good eye for detail you have there. I agree these cultists cannot be left to ravage the river folk with now recompense.
Merry turns to Rollo, trying to make some sense of the map, Yes let’s go get these cultists...
She then looks at Nibor, Are you still happy to lend a helping hand Nibor? I know how you wanted those tomes...

Rollo nods with a slight roll of his eyes let’s go hunt some cultists

Merry smirks before giving Nibor a playfully innocent look, Why Nibor, I’ve no idea what you’re referring to...
She then marches over to Shoalar, murmuring the incantation for Charm Person.

Shoalar's eyes cloud over again. having only recently cleared.
Well my lovely friends, is there anything else I can do for you? I have so enjoyed our time together.
Cousin dear Nibor and Merry here were hoping to look at those fantastic dwarven times you have
Why but of course! How rude of me not to have offered.

That’s mighty kind of you cousin. We’ll let you get back to business and I promise we’ll sort that piracy problem out for you
Merry curtsies in thanks, smiling warmly at Shoalar, before turning and winking at Nibor with a smirk, whispering, Look after your gift...
