Bart after sleeping through all the commotion is now kinda trying to be more attentive and would like to see if he can perceive Kina's guilt or to see if any of the others in the party are in discomfort for any reason. Perception roll: 9
He also speaks up "I think this is the place fine crew. What better place to hide than in a place that looks destroyed and abandoned? "

Wil looks at the ruins, “Well, one or two of us should probably go in for a closer look so we can plan what to do as a group. Cade, how good are you at sneaking around?”
Bartholomew: You see that most of the party is ill at ease, but attribute it to the legends that few have returned from the swamps in over a generation, and none from this far north.

Bart also says to Wil "I can be pretty sneaky as well if need be. I would, however, prefer to stay behind and protect the others especially these beautiful ladies."
OOC: for anyone wondering (cause I don't know if it was ever said) Bart is an aarakocra that is a rooster. He basically looks like the roster from the disney Robin Hood movie haha.
Kina glances sidelong at Bart as he calls her 'beautiful' and nudges him with her rear end. "Oh shush up." she mumbles again, tail flicking about in embarrassment. "I'm not terribly keen on the idea of splitting up, myself." she adds.
"Especially since so far, they've been keen on ambushes on singular targets. I mean, with all those missing walls, masonry, any semblance of structural integrity... lots of places to hide. Maybe we could flush any occupants out towards us?" she proposes

”Well if we flush them out, will we get 3 or 300 coming at us? The former we can easily handle, the later not so much. We need to scout the ruins to see what we are up against. With it being so far out of the way and in such condition I doubt they have guards posted.... but I’d rather not guess about it.” Wil crosses his arms across his chest and thoughtfully hold his chin in his right hand. “I was thinking one person would come scout with me and the rest of the you would wait here in case we ran into trouble we couldn’t handle easily and quietly. It’s also why I’d like a second person along, to run and get the group should we somehow end up in over our heads.... I don’t think that will happen but best to plan incase it does.”
" I agree with Barnabus here we should have a plan in place to come rescue any scouts that go ahead. Fear not as I will come to your rescue at a moments notice! Also I would like to know who plans on scouting so I can give them some inspiring words before they go... just in case. And as for you young... Kina I believe you said I will not be shy about your beauty and will not 'shush up' as you say" Bart smiles trying to look as valiant and suave as his beaked feature will allow him.

Kina shoves Bart with her big ol' horse butt again, turning away from him to he can't see her flush. "I don't even have feathers, you." she mutters, before she returns her attention to the matter at hand. "Well, if it comes to needing a quick escape, I'm part cavalry." she says, putting her quarterstaff across her shoulders and giving her arms a good stretch with it before she brandishes it with a flourish. "Though I think I'm definitely more suited to staying here. I think I'd have trouble sneaking up on a blind man." she admits.

Upon seeing the ruins, an odd thought strikes you. Nearly forgotten ancient rumors of an edifice of incredible evil that was thrown down more than a dozen centuries ago and was rumored that it had sickened the land forming the moors, and of a southern outpost of that place that resembles the structure you see today.

OOC: This is so ancient, actually dating back over 2000 years, only a nat 20 pulls the info. But easily imparted once discovered.
This is actually an old AD&D content module (for maps at least) remanufactured to a new age, hence, brought forward in time 2000ish years and restructured. If you want to delve into the history a bit, you can google "The Temple of Elemental Evil."
Rachel, having been listening to the plans offered, suggests, "should we approach to within bow shot as a group and then send scouts? I, for one, wouldn't want to be too far away to help if needed."

Kina regards the others and then quietly admits, "I brought a stick... but there's 600 pounds of me, so let me get up to a full gallop and I can be a fair battering ram if needed." she says, trying to think of any other way she might be of use in the situation.

"I agree, we should definately stay paired up at least. But we should scout."
Barnabus places the butt of his axe on the ground. Marking where the shadow from the waning sun falls by scraping a toe in the dirt, he then explains.
" We'll give you until the sun's mark reaches here."
He makes another mark a short distance from the first.
"If you haven't signaled or returned we'll follow you in. Move in increments. Scout here to building, we'll move up and so on."
