Barney slowly begins to work the barricades in hope of giving Cade some time to scout before they are forced to enter but also wanting to be ready should his druid friend find trouble.
"You all keep your eyes and ears open for any signs of trouble." he says to the rest.
Once the barricades are removed he will take some time to position them in such a way that it will, at least from a distance, appear that the door is still barricaded. This should give Cade plenty of time to warn them if something awaits just on the otherside. If Cade gives no warning then Barnabus will open the door and lead the way in.
As the party moves through the door, a guttural whisper can be heard from high and slightly left, and forms begin to disengage from the debris scattered around the floor. (Assuming Kina, Bart or Rachel have a light source, otherwise it is pitch black inside.)
Cade: The sound came from a figure at the top of the stairs. There are also 5 others around the room.
Everyone roll for initiative.

OOC: Well, this is what happens when rangers go bad .....
sidebar (meaningless to game play, but...): Terran (human ranger) was trapped in the tower a long time ago by those he thought were friends ... or this is what he believes anyway ... the body perished, but his hatred of those who trapped him lives on. In reality, he was caught and trapped by falling stone, his party didn't know what happened to him and were eventually forced to leave. With the strength of the undead, he was able to free himself but refuses to leave the tower. The cultists stumbled upon him as they were establishing the location, five of them being killed before the rest could escape, hence the zombies and the warning signs outside.

Fife starts vibrating a warning just before the undead start to stir. His battle senses taking over he says, "On the stairs!" to Wil as he steps into strike at Zombie 4. He swings Fife in an overhand chop. Following through he uses the momentum to smash his shield into the zombie in an attempt to knock it down.
Attack on Z4: 18
Shield master bonus action: knock prone 6
He'll reserve his reaction to impose disadantage on the rangers attack should he attack anyone with in 5 ft of him.

Once inside Barnabus moves in a good 10 feet to allow room for the rest.
(If nothing attacks 😉) He says to the others, "Spread out and look around but be wary. They had this place locked up for a reason."

Barnsbus reacts to the telepathic warning by bracing his shield and gripping Fife a bit tighter. He scans the room intently.
