Marcus had a simple upbringing. His small town life was hard graft, but he worked hard to help his parents with their smithing business.
When he found the local town leader extorting his parents business, he overpowered him leaving him with a warning to leave his family alone. Following this they came under far more pressure, including violent attacks and sabotage. Marcus vowed never to show his enemies mercy again, and made an oath to Peloth.
The mayor begged for his life, but Marcus kept his oath. It hurt, leaving his family behind, but they wouldn’t understand what he needed to do. He set out, hoping to prove himself and one day join the Brotherhood of Pelos.

Valenswifte would you allow me to switch from the quarter staff to either a cloak of protection, headband of intellect, or medallion of thoughts. Anything off limits?
I believe our party is Ranger(1)/Rogue (Scout), Paladin (Conquest), Rogue (1)/Wizard (Illusion), Monk (Dragon), and Druid (Wildfire); All level 5... Not sure what we are missing... But I think another tank/frontliner is probably the best bet...

Thanks for the info, The_Mathemagician, I will try to make a tank, but those rolls are pretty bad--the lack of rerolling ones killed me on a couple of the ability scores.

Gerrard Feldren - Human Noble in Ghosts of Saltmarsh
Kerric Brightblade - Elven Warrior in "Apocalypse"
Grunyar was born in Leershire, leading a simple childhood and learning the craft of logging and carpentry at his father's knee. Grunyar always knew he was destined for more than just a guild job in a small town, and after a rather unfortunate run-in with the Lord Morray's brash great-nephew, the young dwarf found himself suddenly on the road, just ahead of an angry noble. Traveling far and quickly, Grunyar happened across a band of warriors fighting off an undead menace in an unnamed village. Jumping in and helping in a crucial moment, he caught the eye of the Sworn Sword's leader, Sir Ulric Chancey. This began a decade long adventure for the young dwarf, where he learned to fight, use armor and shield effectively, and even shrug off minor blows thanks to his hardy stoicism.
After ten years on the road, though, Grunyar sought to settle down a bit and Sir Chancey encouraged him to use his skills to help the common folk, so he settled in the ancient dwarven stronghold of Carvel. Though the rule of an ancestral dwarven citadel by a half-elf grated on him, Grunyar nevertheless was drawn to the stout stone construction, and he learned the craft of masonry to add to his carpentry skill. For another decade he used his construction skills to earn his keep, but more importantly to help the common folk keep their houses in good repair. At the end of this second decade, though, Grunyar felt the old urges come to the fore--still young for a dwarf, he decided to see adventure again, and came to the Drunken Drake in search of just such an opportunity.
Looks great but quick note, the party is currently in the village south of Carvel, Brasi. The night began with a wedding reception, with some abnormal weather. The weather took a turn for the worst with a tornado spouting as rain batters the village. I'll have you hop in with Jinara, as the party is split up at the moment.
Sounds good. At least it is near his new hometown. Perhaps he heard a rumor at the Drunken Drake about something interesting going on in Brasi, then took a trip south to the village to investigate.

Let me know when you are ready for me to hop in. I have an idea that Grunyar is just getting to town, fighting his way through the rough weather, when he hears a call for help from a burning house.

I suppose as long as its an uncommon magic item, I'd be open to it.
Added a Moon Sickle to Nadariel, it is a uncommon druid focus +1 that gives a 1d4 bonus to healing spells.
Had one player drop out due to life issues, taking one more player to fill their spot.
What role do you need filled in the party?
