Hadran and Feng consecutively swing their weapons bringing down the skeletons, Hadran's staff hits the skeleton in the chest sending it's rib cage and upper torso flying through the air. And Feng cuts directly down the middle of the skeleton cutting it in half.
Feng takes a few deep breaths to calm down. Then he goes to wipe off his axe, realizes there's nothing to wipe but a bit of bone dust, shrugs, goes back to his bedroll, flops down and settles back in.
Donar and Alexander first notice something incredibly strage about the dust that appeared when the warhorse died. they get closer and the dust swirls up and the illusion is dispelled where the skeletal warhorse died a bloody broken pack horse now lies it's jaw eviscerated and blood spattering from it. The zombie that was once lying dead on the ground is now replaced by a body clad in mercenary Armour with his chest burst open and in his hand he is clutching a letter. Xing and Feng don't seem to notice this all they see is dust and a dead zombie.
OOC: if Quasi rolls high enough he will notice as well.
“This isn’t a zombie boys. This is, was, a living creature. There is some sort of illusion magic put on him to make him seem like that. It must be some powerful magic to make him sound like it too.”

"Hmmm, Donar is correct, this definitely seems to have been some kind of an illusion. However, there is no denying that we were attacked by these beings, so I see no morale issue with it." Alexander stated, peering down at the mercenary. He pulled a dagger from his pocket, reaching down to poke the letter out of the dead man's hand with it. If he is able to dislodge the letter, he will pick it up off the ground and try to read it.
OOC: Friday is one of my irl D&D nights anyways, so no worries Jac
The note appears heavily damaged and has been scrunched up so it is barely readable. Alexander is able to decipher the following message from the letter
"The outpost has been overrun... shades appeared in the night... everyone disappeared there is an overwhelming smell... being chased... find this letter... send..."
OOC: Is there a particular reason why Alexander cannot make out the text, while Donar can? Just wondering if maybe you flipped the names around on accident.

The third skeleton explodes into fire and dust
Two left? In any case, will club the nearest one.
Attack: 14 Damage: 10 (bludgeoning, so doubled to 20)
(Guessing the skeletons will be down by the next time Hadran acts. At that time, will use Cure Wounds on Xing, who will recover 9 HP.)

Feng, still raging, swings again at the nearest skeleton.
Attack: 21 Damage: 12
OOC: Just realizing I've been shortchanging myself on +4 each hit (forgot my STR modifier...) *facepalm*

The monsters are defeated.
XP: 70 xp each
Xing echoes Alexander, “Ugh, I hate the undead...” He then kicks the skeleton’s discarded head and returns to his fluffy bed nest.

OOC: It wasn't the skeletons it was the horse and the zombie that were living creatures. the skeletons are actually skeletons.
Insight: 19 (Probably thinking, "That was a terrible disguise. Won't confuse skeletons to make you look like a zombie.")
