"I might be red, but an instrument of a Demon I am definitely not" He voiced, running his right hand over the scales on his left arm. It was easy for people to mistake him for something from the hells, so he didn't really get to offended by the question. It wasn't the first time he had to explain how his lineage didn't mean he was actually a being of evil.
"This whole thing rubs me the wrong way, to be honest. Have you guys heard anything else of this Lord that might be helpful?" Alexander asked in response to Feng's question. He sat himself down at the bar, fingers drumming across the counter as he thought to himself. His eyes scanned the room, trying to see if anyone was acting a little odd over this whole thing. He hadn't been quiet with what the voice had told him, so anyone could have overheard
"Nothing helpful. All we Gathakanathi have heard is that there's some Lord of Sands busting things up somewhere around here. I was sent to fight it and bring our tribe glory." He shrugs. "That's all I know."
He rubs his shield thoughtfully. Anyone observing could see that said thought like this does not come naturally to him - he appears to be struggling with the whole situation.
Demons, Sand Lord thingies ... this place is weird. I think I'll let these guys puzzle it out. This Alexander guy seems to know a lot of stuff.
He falls to studying Alexander, since he's never seen a tiefling before.
As Alexander sat up straight on the stool, posture mattered to him, he did not try to hide his appearance from anyone in the group.
Alexander was average height for a Tiefling, approximately 5'10", and seemed to be of a fairly fit build. He did not look physically strong, that is for sure, as his body seemed to be built more for agility. His skin was a light red, and if someone looked hard enough where his arms extended past the length of his coat, small scales could be seen covering them. Two large horns curved from his head, the same shade of black as his long hair. He was dressed in a tightly bound dark blue coat, and as one looked down the length of it they would see a thick tail, the same color as his skin, swung mildly back and forth from within it. Finally, if one followed his tail further downwards, they would see that where most had feet, he had two hooves instead.
OOC: I designed him after this image. Just flip the tail to a much thicker one, and the coat form red to blue. https://imgur.com/a/r6hzj
OOC: I would also like to ask if a religion check would allow me to know anything more about The Demon Lord of Sands. Anything about him in general religion origin stories.

OOC: Yeah that's a big Time Difference. Like 16 hours forward. So you're in the future for us. Freaky. Also, Donar is proficient in religion so no penalties. Yes!
As Donar reaches back into the recesses of his mind he remembers what can only be referred to as a cautionary tale about the many lords of the desert. According to the legend the lords of the desert where ancient celestial beings like unto gods, for millennia they watched over the world bringing ruin to civilizations corrupted by their greed and keeping the balance. One of these lords grew bored of this constant shepherding and decided to throw the material world into ruin. Tektrite struck out against his brothers and slaughtered many of their order, bringing ruin to the balance. But fortunately before he was able to escape and reek more havoc the last of his brothers struck him down and caged him deep within the desert so that he should never rise again.
Xing knows only that many mercenary companies originating from the city you currently reside in (Sitaari) have been sent deep into the wilds as of late by a man known as 'The Cursed'
Xing opens his beak, “Listen little guy, I don’t think you’re ready for this kinda job. Do you know just how many of our boys we’ve sent to get this guy? This ‘Cursed’ ain’t something for you to mess with. Stay out of the wilds.- And that’s all that I know about the wilderness, sweetie.” Then Xing shrugs.

"According to the story, this Demon Lord, who if I think it is this same person was named Tektrite, use to be one of several Celestial Lords of the Sand who watched over the world bringing down justice to greedy and evil civilizations. However, he grew bored with order and justice and began throwing the world into chaos by killing off the other Celestial Lords. Eventually, last of the Celestial Lords was able to stop and imprison him in the desert."
While Donar retells the story he is looking curiously at these other strange folks who seem to have the same mission as him.
"Look 'little guy' ... Xing, right?" Feng leans forward, a half smile on his face. "I was born in the wild and raised in the wild, and if you take care of the wild, the wild takes care of you." He ends this with a bit of a triumphant nod. "I don't know what you mean about a "Cursed," but I'm not worried about no wilderness. I am worried about this Sand Lord guy. If he is the same as this Tektrite thing Donar is talking about, and if he got himself loose, we might get ourselves a fight."
He gives a bit of a grin. "How 'bout it? I think it's obvious what I do," he says, patting his shield, "You guys any good in a fight?"
Xing pinches the bridge of his beak and raises two hands to signal two things are the same, “Sand Lord- might be related to,- This ‘Cursed.’- but, yes- Ay look that little bird can fight! Punch him in the throat buddy!”

Alexander continued to scan the room as he listened to the others, making sure nothing stood out to him. This was getting really dark, really fast, and while he saw himself as a grand hero of justice, that didn't mean he had to leave his back open to an attack.
"Lets say, hypothetically, that I wanted to fight some great demon lord. First, we have no clue where he is. Second, we don't even know if we can trust each other. Third, lets say we did find this guy, and he's as grand as Donar and Xing say he is, the hell are we supposed to do once we get there?" The Tiefling pointed out, crossing his arms over his chest. His tail began to thrash from side to side with added diligence, showing off his frustration with the situation.
"I'm as good as any dwarf in a fight," Donar says while pointing to his Warhammer and shield on his back " And as a cleric of Valkur he gifts me some magical capabilities as well; including some healing magic." As Donar states about his magic, he'll use Thaumaturgy to make his eyes electric blue.
To Feng: "Mind your tongue, tall one. This evil lord has many enemies. It tries, in vain, to frighten servants of higher powers, who will oppose it."
This was meant before Feng just calmed down.

DM OOC: Let's try to get everyone up to speed shall we
1. It is currently near the end of spring
2. Owtlaw you see nothing out of the ordinary
3. Anyone who wants to do a religion, history or other info gathering check feel free to do it now
4. When it comes to posting I may tend to miss large chunks of posts because I live in Australia and times zones could affect when I see posts
Any other requests?
OOC: Australia? That's dope. Florida, here. Is D&D big over there?
DM OOC: It's definitely growing more popular, but it's still quite a small community over here
