Even the magical nature of the sword doesn't seem to counteract the resistance, although the flames lick up the tree quickly and seem to be more than effective. The tree turns angrily to Chan and slams down with its branches.
Seeing the branches about to slam down hard at him, Chan raises his shield as a flash of light nearly blinds everyone nearby, hoping to cause it to flinch.

Seeing Yuno down, a desperate idea formed in Gogon's mind. Moving to angle himself properly, he focused and took a deep breath as he leapt several feet, landing into position.
There was a flash of red in his eyes as he exhaled, and instead of a whistle or soft blow, a cone of fire erupted from his lips, roaring toward the sentient trees.
MOVE: To W-13; trying to fit all 4 trees into his cone ACTION: Using Breath of the Dragon to deal a 20-foot cone of flame; DC 12 DEX Save, 5FireDamage on failure, else 2Fire Damage BONUS: Unarmed strike on closest remaining tree - Attack: 18, still Fire Damage: 9 REACTION: If tree flees w/o disengaging, low kick (unarmed strike) - Attack: 19, Fire Damage: 10
Somehow, the tree manages to move some of its more vulnerable branches out of the way of the flames that spring forth from Gogon's mouth, although the fire looks to be seriously singing it. Gogon's fist of flame also connects driving the flames further up the tree. Meanwhile, the tree's trunk is slammed by another bolt. Unfortunately, while the branches were harder to hit, the trunk was even harder to pierce, and although the arrow connected and entered the trunk, it did not look to do as much damage as the flames. At this point, the flames are licking up the trunk of the tree and with a couple of pock marks from the bolts and rapier strikes that have been dealt to it, the tree looks close to the point of collapsing.

Chan rears back and stabs with all his might at the great tree in front of him, and his rapier clangs off the trunk mostly harmlessly, but the flames on its side begin to lick up the tree more rapidly and within a split second, the entire tree is alight and a loud creaking sound is heard as the tree lists to one side before disappearing into a puff of smoke.
Yuno Death Save: 2
Chan rushes to stabilize Yuno and successfully does so. Just in time, Yuno takes a deep breath as she comes back to consciousness with 1 HP.
Yuno quickly gets up and tries to figure out where the tree is, only to realize that it was down. She says a bit annoyed, "That wasn't very fun. I didn't get to even attack this time."
Gogon, still breathing heavily, chuckled at his companion's retort. "I'd be a little miffed too," he admitted. "Hopefully you'll get your licks in next round... WHILE we still manage to not lose anyone!"
He turned to look over the presented items. "Hmm. Thatcirclet has worked well for us before; unless someone thinks one of the bows will help, I'd say we should grab that again."
Sythm looks at the bows. "They do look like nice weapons, don't they?" He sighs, looking back at his companions. "You all look like you could use some rest, huh." He moves closer to the circlet. "Well, it did work for use once, didn't it? I think I wouldn't die using this crossbow for a little longer. Either way, we can't really die here, can we? If you really want that circlet, you can go ahead and take it." He then moves towards Chan and takes out his dagger, but he flips it so that he's holding the blade and points the hilt towards Chan. "While you're that strong, maybe a weapon could be of more use than some of your spells? I don't have a better one to give, but it's something."
Gogon considered the situation for a moment, then replied, "You should probably take it, Sythm. Right now you're the only one lacking elemental attacks, plus you're probably the most likely to be standing to use it if we all take a big hit."
He smiled. "Or, if you just want a stronger, magical bow, take one of them. Either way, I'd say we're all better off if you finally get a magical boost." He looked toward the others for agreement.
"Me? I'm not sure... I'm good with weapons, not with... headwear. Though, if no one else wants to take it..." He moves forward and picks the circlet from the pillar. "Goodbye, magical bows." He puts the circlet on his head. "This reminds me of other elves who liked to wear these kinds of things. I wonder if I look the same as they did."
Handing the rapier back to Yuno, Chan says “Thank you for loaning this to me. Though it is much better in your hands.” Then looking to the weapons says “I’ve seen that circlet before. It could be helpful, but if there is something that any of you can use, please take it.” He then stands in silent mediation as his shield gives off a warm glow, refreshing 11 hp to everyone around.
As Sythm picks up the circlet and places it on his head, 2 doors appear in front of you with the same ivy covered texture and an image is visible on each of the doors.
59 ; 80
The door on the left has a pair of boots that are glowing with a faint magical aura whereas the door on the right has a bed. The bed is not emitting a blindingly bright light, but there is a faint glow to it.
As you enter the room, the layout is, again, the same as the previous room although rearing up in the center of the room is a snake of some kind. The snake appears to have all of the flesh on its body burned off or removed and its skeleton clacks as it pulls its head back and lets out a loud hiss.
(Both Sythm and Yuno are stealthed if they can find cover)

Sythm aims his bow at the trunk of the tree. He's not sure if it'll help, but it seems easier to hit compared to the top part of it.
