@DM: Just checking if "I'm afraid he's been missing for a few days now."" is a slip of the DM pen, or the actual words she used. By my reckoning, we saw him the day before yesterday, and he planned to return to the temple that night.
Silthras does his best to read any more details he can from her emotional state in general. Someone opposing a massive dark conspiracy that surrounds them might show some strain; someone working hard as part of that conspiracy might be more relaxed or even excited.
(( Happy to throw dice rolls at this one; just let me know if necessary! ))
Silthras' gaze lingers on the priestess. His face softens and it almost seems that he is going to say something, but the moment passes. He bows his head again slightly. "Thank you for your time. I am sure that we shall be in touch soon."

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Wandering around, Usul squints as he looks at the high priest, not quite sure what to make of someone in her position. Listening to her conversation with Silthras, he meanders behind the priest and into Silthras' view stretching his arms wide with a yawn and using the yawn to cover pulling his finger over his mouth in a 'shhh' meaning ((slight of hand 25 if needed)), and then continues wandering, poking at books or sitting down in a pew and immediately standing up again... just kinda fidgety.
The High Priestess of a Amah gives a warm smile again, politely bowing her head back. "Of course, and thank you offering your help to find Clayus." Turning on the spot, the halfling woman retreats back the way she came, while a few others in the temple take interested glances in her direction.
Ya'll can go ahead and describe where you're going next if you want to start a private convo. Or whatever you have planned.
Velyra motions with her head to leave the temple, turning to do so unless anyone says otherwise. As they descend the steps, she says aloud, "you know I left something back at the manor, think we could stop by again?"
As the High Priestess walks past Usul takes a step back to give her space as Dib pokes his nose out of his home pocket inside Usul's vest and wrinkles his nose. Usul then steps over towards the group and says quietly, "Something about her just isn't...right... Dib thinks she smells funny too."Then patting his new bag at his side says, now that the group is all together, "Ah! We also found some books and papers in the house to look through later. Everything else had been pretty well cleared out though..."
Silthras frowns, trying to recollect his scant knowledge of the town.
"Perhaps somewhere in Heath Ward, near the wall? Do you know of such a place, Usul?"
He smiles and leans in close to Velyra, cupping his hand over his lips, "Are you looking for a safe place to talk, or did you really forget something? Feel free to react like I just said something very offensive."
"Perhaps somewhere in Heath Ward, near the wall? Do you know of such a place, Usul?"
"We never really stayed in any Inns..." Usul says a bit disappointed, adding "But we do know the area at least. There are a bunch around so it shouldn't be hard to find something."
Usul does know of an inn that's somewhat close to the shared wall with Council Ward. It's about a 30 minute walk(w/ Usul's feature) to get there however, simply because you have to go around the wall itself. The Wooden Jester is a decently sized establishment - easily the largest in all of Hearth Ward, and relatively popular among those who refuse to secure more permanent housing in the city. The tavern room isn't too busy this time of day however, and you're able to secure a table far away from others.
As they settle into their secluded table Silthras takes in a deep breath, “Damn, that was exhausting!” He pulls out a kerchief and dabs the light sheen of sweat from his brow and orders a light ale. “Need fluid.” he says with a shrug. "He looks around, "A room here might be a good idea."
After scanning for prying eyes and listening ears as much as possible, he turns to Velyra “I’m going to hazard a guess that you have bad news? A little more warning would be appreciated next time, if possible. Though I'm not sure if we'd have done anything different.” Again, he dabs his brow before cleaning the kerchief and replacing it, then looks at Velyra expectantly.
For the first time since they've become a group, Velyra feels she may have matched the general paranoia of Silthras. She takes care to keep up appearances, ordering a round of drinks for all before starting any conversation on the matter, letting the serving person or whoever bring their drinks. The others would easily be able to tell that she was acting off, maybe a bit shaken.
"I didn't even think I could pull this off to be honest, I'll have more forethought in the future though." She says, addressing the half-elf's concerns.
"I have been a cleric of Sandail for a long time. Many years. I've received guidance before, visions even. But none of that compares to the omen I received in that temple. There is something very wrong going on in this city, and the Crystal Sanctum is at the center of it. Even young Usul was able to pick up on it." She says, gesturing to their gnomish friend. "We can't trust that woman. Whatever is going on with those street urchins, the robbing, the tunnels, and this Tel'n'avae that Kaz spoke of? It's coming from the temple, or something underneath it."
Kal doesn't order a drink for himself this time, instead drinking from his waterskin. After Velyra speaks her piece, he adds his own findings. "I'm not sure if the temple itself is a problem. The ground is still consecrated...But something underneath could be amiss. Perhaps that should be our goal in the tunnels."

Thems the words she said.

Silthras Insight: 7
Silthras' gaze lingers on the priestess. His face softens and it almost seems that he is going to say something, but the moment passes. He bows his head again slightly. "Thank you for your time. I am sure that we shall be in touch soon."

"Thank you for your time Mother Esmee," Velyra echoes, eager to leave as soon as they can.
Kal makes no indication that he has anything to add, though as they speak he will flare his divine sense.

Silthras refrains from saying much, but in reply to Velyra says, "I was thinking an room at an inn near the temple might be a good change of pace."
Council Ward has no inns. It's all estates owned by nobles. Nearest would be in the Silver or Hearth Ward.
Silthras frowns, trying to recollect his scant knowledge of the town.

Velyra holds up a single finger for the first option. "We could definitely stop somewhere for a drink first. I'm parched honestly."
