Silthras shrugs, "One of us should stay out here, I think." He takes another look at the diamond tipped rods driven into the statue -- if statue it is. "I volunteer...once I get the words and hand movements right..." he makes more scribbled notes, trying to phonetically spell out the phrases.
(( This is the room that was opened by Syl, using a gesture and phrase, right? ))
((Not quite. There was an arcane gateway that lead to the portal hub. The way it was placed blocked this door. Sylnora turned off the gateway with the orb sitting on a pedestal, which revealed this door. Velyra opened the door using the Celestial phrases outline in the diagram you found in the manor, exactly like the door that lead into the room with all of the cabinets.))
"We've come this far anyway." The knight briefly glances back at Silthras, somewhat perplexed by the hesitation. Walking around Velyra he strides into the room, peering up at the statue as he walks around it to get a look at what's on the far wall.

(( Ah, OK. My mistake. Silthras is a little less cautious... ))
Silthras shrugs at Kal, "I'll wait out here, if the door closes, you try opening it from the other side...if you can, then we should be safe enough to all go through."
Although she hesitates at the door when it seems no one else will enter, Syl continues on her way when someone else moves in. Her eyes are drawn to the contraptions in the corners, but she remains close to Kal, nervous about any potential danger in the room.

Sky blue light fills the room as the two step inside, loud clangs ring out as the objects in the corner of the room begin to move, the rings spinning around the now glowing central sphere. Passing through the entryway, you can see two more of the mechanics in the corners on either side, making a total of four in the room. As the light washes over you both, you feel a strange sensation, almost like a presence entering your mind or your soul. Whatever it is, it seems to be callously searching for something, without regard for the thing being read. Although Kal is able to brace himself against it, Sylnora takes 3 psychic damage as a splitting pain briefly breaks out in her skull. After about five seconds, the sensation fades from both of you, but the light remains.
Above the whir of machinery, you begin to hear a faint hissing sound like steam, and small puffs of white smoke begin to rise from the wall beyond the statue. As you round the large stone sculpture, you see the source.
Within a large jagged crystalline growth(roughly four feet wide, six feet tall, three feet deep), you see a figure. Wearing plate armor with blue-tinged steel is a half drow man, his face frozen in a pained agony. You can see a large wound in the abdomen his armor, and a black tendril-like corrupting seeping out, not unlike what you found on the 13th's armor. For any that had looked over the artwork Silthras found in one of the cabinets, you would recognize this as the 14th Watcher. The hissing sound and smoke comes from the crystal itself, which is slowly bubbling and evaporating away.
Rushing in after the other two, Velyra winces as the strange presence overtakes her, but continue on nonetheless. Joining Kal and Syl, she lets her eyes widen at the sight of the man in the crystal. "Unbelievable."
She moves forwards towards the sizzling crystal, reaching out a hand to touch it. "Is he going to come out of there alive?" Leaning over, she peers closely at the wound in his abdomen, trying to identify if its a mortal wound or not.
Stepping into the room, Velyra would feel the same invasive presence in her mind as the soft blue light hit her skin. Steeling herself, the mental probing does not cause her any harm. Joining the other two, she walks towards the crystal. As her fingers touch it, she would feel a biting cold, like frostbite. The crystal continues to sublimate as she squints into it, looking over the wound the half-drow inside bears.
Velyra med: 18
From what she knows as fairly experienced healer, a wound like this would not mean certain death for most people. However, the strange black corruption that seems to grow from it is an unknown factor - so it's hard to say for sure.
The sudden sharp pain makes Syl stumble and she takes a moment to straighten herself our before continuing on. Rubbing her temples, she comes up beside Velyra while she's investigating the crystal. "I don't see much reason to preserve a dead body." She eyes the hole in the man's stomach and winces, "are you going to be able to fix him though?"
While they wait for him to eventually emerge, she'll wander a few paces, taking a closer look at the murals on the walls.
Hearing Silthras, Kal will turn his head and say loudly, "No, I think your guess was wrong. There's someone in here, but I think they might be the one who was betrayed." His eyes go to the wound in the man's abdomen, and then to the dissipating crystal around him. "Looks like he's going to be able to tell us one way or another here fairly soon!"

Silthras goes silent, for a time, his mind working furiously. "Of course! I had assumed the lockers were posthumus. The last watcher wrote of his own betrayal!"
He looks anxiously into the room...clearly wanting to be there.
"Im coming in" he says, in case anyone thinks he should stay out...
Moving a little closer, now into the room, he judges the distance so that he can easily flee if the door starts to close... but in a position with a better view.
Silthras and Usul feel the almost alien presence in their minds, searching, but they're both able to to resist enough for it to cause any pain. But as the feeling fades, the atmosphere of the room begins to change. The swirling mechanisms in the corner flash a red aura, and hairs begin to stand up as an electric potential is formed. Arcs of lightning spark between the metal rods of the statue in the center of the room. You hear the grinding of stone, and turn back to look at the door. But it's still open, and not shutting.
You hear the grinding sound again, and turn towards the statue. Its legs begin to move, and the head turns towards Silthras. The large stone construct full turns its body towards the half-elf, and reaches out in his direction, pointing one of the metal rods in its forearm directly at him...

Hearing the crackling sounds of electricity behind her, and noticing the flashing red lights, Sylnora turns around. As the statue in the center of the room begins to move, preparing some kind of attack against one of their own, her eyes go wide. "Oh. Oh no."
Without spending much for it, she outstretches her hand and lets loose a fire bolt at it before looking to the others for guidance. "A-are we fighting this thing?!"
"What in the gods' names did you do to piss it off!?" Velyra yells in Silthras' direction as chaos breaks out in the room. She begins to run closer towards him and Usul(30 ft diagonally), a swirling ball of air and electricity gathering in her palm. While she slides to a stop sparks arc off of her fingers to the ground, and she releases a Shatter spell on the statue.
