Dwarf Cleric of (Life domain, so perhaps a God of the Hearth in the Dwarf Pantheon? Perhaps a Lord of the Feast Hall?), recently arrived in Daven's Falls to oversee the religious needs of the Dwarf loggers working for his cousin's company. A jolly fellow, slightly shorter and wider than many of his brethren, eager to be a good influence on everyone he meets while standing unflinchingly for his principles, which may include a nap after a good lunch and the exciting prospects of raising beehives in the near future. Oh, and helping out those silly adventurers sounds great, too. Gladstone "Glads" Winterhill, ready to serve!
(Also, I'm psyched by those ability rolls, tbh. Wonderful split of strong and weak scores.)
How active do I want players to be? Basically daily posting.
Do you need a D&D Beyond character sheet? Yes, I'll post a link soon, and I do have campaign sharing.
I like all of the responses so far, gonna be a tough choice, but I am not cutting off recruitment just yet. My intention is to do a bit of character and plot discussion in a session zero kinda thread before starting the game proper. I also have decided to take 5 characters and one alternate.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Ability scores: 15111213108
Name: Helena Graymantle Race: Variant Human Class: Wizard (going Order of Scrolls) Background: Artisan Backstory:
Helena is a scribe and translator. She travels from here to there, offering her services. She has found the bigger cities too hard to get work, as the guilds there don't like freelancers like her being around.
Verax was born a vagabond to a mother who was always traveling and a father he never knew. When he was just a baby, Verax was left at an orphanage in a mountainside town where humans and dwarves mingled. To his good fortune, an elderly dwarven fellow took the boy in despite his clearly dubious heritage. He took the boy in for largely selfish reasons. As a prominent forge cleric and the head of his family's smithing arts, the elderly dwarf was seeking to train his successor. Since Verax wasn't a dwarf himself, he could never fulfill that role. However, he could be a useful tool in spurring the Dwarf's own nephew to new heights as competition in their training.
For Verax, the strictness of life under a dwarven father and teacher was uncomfortable at best. Although he had taken the Tiefling in under his own pretenses, it was still a better life than one on the streets or wasting away, forgotten, in an orphanage. For that reason Verax was immensely grateful to him.
And so, after nearly two decades learning the trade of blacksmithing from him, Tomarr Bellows passed peacefully in the night. It was an unexplained death, and that left many pointing fingers. Some blamed his nephew, who was eager to assume the authority of head craftsman left in the vacuum of Tomarr's passing. Most blamed the devil he had brought into his home.
He had too much respect for his teacher to cause a scene, and so he left his home quietly the night after Tomarr's passing. Verax and Tomarr's nephew didn't get along in the first place, and he would not see his teacher's funeral made a mockery of by fools who couldn't keep their mouths shut about things they knew nothing of.
That lead him to travel down the mountain. It was there that he happened upon a small forest town. The sort of burgeoning, new village that might have need of a skilled smith...or a stout hammer swing. For him, it was a fresh start... or so he hoped.
I'd love to put forward a character!

Apologies for the last minute entry. I'd been debating this for a couple of days. Might as well throw my hat in the ring!
