Wolfstine says "Ok, but stop us a good distance away so we can be sneaky"
He turns to Thufir as they walk "I'm not sure but maybe you and your kin should camp out out of sight when we get near there, while we scout and find out what the situation really is. I don't feel comfortable with you as a prisoner. Just means one more thing to do on the plate. Meanwhile just put your hands behind you like you're restrained if someone approaches while we travel."
He thinks for a second
"I guess I'm going to be stuck carrying your sword and Javelins till we make camp."
As you're walking and following the kobold trio, you have no trouble spotting a couple of cultists walking between a pair of large rocks. "That's where they'd ambush travelers," Osh says as you continue toward the spot. As you approach, you hear a gruff voice shout "stand down, it's just some stragglers."
The leader, wearing purple-stained split mail eyes Waldeyr and Wolfstine. "What news do you have from Greenest? Have they sent anyone?"
Fargen spots the pair and considers perhaps we might learn something by playing along. He whispers to Waldeyr, "Let's see if you can bullshit these guys better than me, may Vergadain guide your exchange."
“They did send someone. Their so called ‘champion’ and a few others thought to ambush us in the night, but we found them first. I don’t think this one has served his final purpose, however.” He gestures back at Thufir. “We’ll continue on and take him home with us.”
Fargen nods to the others and moves along, trying not to rouse any suspicion by keeping his mouth shut like a good dwarf. No need to fight any more of these fools than we need he thinks to himself.
He looks towards his companions, nods towards the guards, and raises his eyebrows as if to question- move on or take them out?
Wolfstine shakes his head maybe the paladin has a plan
It seems that this is the best way to infiltrate "Sure, lets get to the camp. I'm a bit tired anyway." He sticks close to Thufir making it clear that he's his responsibility.

Fargen keeps trudging forward, the way dwarves do when clever people feel the need to start talking. When the group is out of view of the pair of ambushers and they approach the camp, Fargen motions to the others- "You sneaky folk spread out and see what you can find." He quiets himself, praying for Moradin's guidance and for sharp eyes and a keen nose to inspect the situation himself.

Wolfstine follows the lead of the cultists and looks over the camp again staying close to the dragonborn he looks for a chance to bring Thufir out of sight of the cultists
You come into the camp from the west, according to the map and you don't see anyone. You find a couple of guard towers but most of the smaller huts are burned and the food is gone. Those who got a Perception 10 or higher noticed that several of the raiders left in small groups. In the distance, about 500 feet away, you see a small cave opening.

Fargen looks over the largely abandoned camp, "Looks like everyone left in a hurry. It would be good to know what kind of guard remains." He looks to Wolfstine, "Maybe that little friend of yours can take a closer look at those guard towers."
Fargen turns to the kobolds accompanying them. "Were there any plans to head out? I assume the hatchery is in that cave along with your kin. What can we expect to find inside?"
OOC: I'm not sure if this is a Parks and Rec reference or a Little Mermaid reference - or both.
The kobolds are excited as the crab walks out before Osh says. "We know the way. Ready when you are."
