Areon approaches a soot covered corner where three smithies fires have dimmed but only one shop has the sound of work still being done. Ducking inside he finds a shop lined with fine weapons and armor from the simplest leathers to the finest full-plate. A human woman is busy at the forge hammering a sword blade. She's glorious! Het statuesque frame and lovely face is smudged with soot. She seems to pause on her work only to wipe the sweat from her brow before she continues to work. She's a tall woman, taller than average humans almost Zira's imposing six foot three height, but just short an inch or two. She wields the hammer with ease but still hasn't noticed him. As Areon is about to approach her however he's interrupted by a elven woman in soft lavender robes holding a tray of food and pitcher of ale.
"Can I help you fey touched," she asks in elvish smiling softly her violet eyes curiously giving Areon a once over as her companion continues to work.
Meanwhile a few streets away....
"Such information requires a bit more coin then the cost of cakes," the woman adds smirking at Ted rubbing her fingers together.
OOC: Each cake is 3 coppers. Remember to deduct your expenses. I'm not your banker but I trust you to not cheat yourselves by not keeping your coin in order.
And at the inn....
Erika comes down to find patrons gathered in the great room around its double hearth at the center of the tavern. It's a jovial scene with a small stage of musicians tucked in a corner near the end of the long bar playing fairly well. Looking around she spots Altima, the scouts, and scribes at a long table on one end. With Zira and Gen-ga seated in the center but apart from them. They seem to be sharing a bit of a moment just smiling at one another over a meal laid out between them.
“But no living man am I! You look upon a woman...You stand between me and my lord and kin. Begone, if you be not deathless! For living or dark undead, I will smite you, if you touch him.” ― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Return of the King
Erika will give a little smile at the sight of Zira and Gen-ga. She continues out the inn door. Before leaving the vicinity of the inn, she'll give a quick search around the premises, just to make sure that there was no one shady hanging around where her friends dined and rested, trusting her disguise wouldn't mark her as a member of the Institute.
Perception 12
If nothing, she'll head towards the market where her companions should be... and maybe try and find a mulled wine vendor.
OOC: We'll assume Erika is an hour behind the party on their shenanigans!
Erika notices plenty of people but there's too many however to view a potential threat. No one seems to be dressed in all black and twirling a creepy mustache ogling her companions who linger in the tavern. She's confident in her accent too and leaves the tavern completely anonymous form the companions she entered with! It's a crisp fall evening and closer to the mountains a breeze blows through the city streets huddled against the base of the snow capped mountains. Looking around Erika sees nothing but vendors and shops as far as her eyes can see before streets disappear around corners. Her nose however carries her easily to a street vendor selling hot mulled wine and other sugary treats. For two silver pieces she can have a tankard, mulled wine and tankard included!

"Oh, that's definitely worth it! Thank you!" she says to the vendor, happily enjoying the warm alcohol as a ward against the chilly night. She's glad that her real armor is fur-lined when the wind picks up, even if her illusionary armor isn't.
She will ask a few vendors if they'd seen a blue-haired triton or flamboyant half-elf man, giving a quick description of her companions (she will do so while buying a small pastry here or spicy sausage there, spending up to another silver total on treats), hoping that by being a good customer they'll help her catch up to wherever her friends might be.
It takes Erika a while but she finally finds an older human woman selling fried batter cakes who smirks at her having overheard her asking a silk flower seller about her friends. Calling Erika over she says the following: "For three cakes and a silver I can point you in the right direction dearie," the woman says as a small boy holds up the greasy cakes wrapped in parchment towards her.
OOC: We'll wait for thr others to check in and see if Ted can get the location of a seedy bar ok? Nite all.

Garron Dexterity Save: 20 (OOC: Not sure if Danger Sense would apply here or not so I rolled with advantage. Ignore the second roll if it doesn't apply... EDIT: Not that it matters.)
Garron tumbles out of the way as the invisible trap is triggered and he yells, "What in the name of Stormlord was that for?" He also steps all the way up to the counter now and draws his weapon. He is starting to get angry, but he isn't lashing out just yet.
As the cake seller requests a bribe, Ted can’t control his excitement, a smile spreading across his face. Only the most exclusive tavens in Zozobra actually required a bribe to find out about, and they were normally full of illegal activities. This was going to be perfect. Checking his coin purse, he sees he has plenty for drinks later, as well any further bribes he might need at the door. He hands over a gold piece to the cake seller, “Keep the change m’lady. Between the cakes and the information, you’ve more than earned it.” His grin continues in anticipation.
Moller hands her second fried cake to Trixie with a smile. "Sounds like a good friend, you had in that squid."
After, she starts eating some of hers, at first taking smaller bites as a taste test. She watches Ted work with a raised brow, more curious than confused.

OOC: 'Against effects that you can see' Garron didn't look for traps nor was it immediately noticeable. Please roll an investigation check to see if he noticed the snare as per the spell outline "The trap is nearly invisible and requires a successful Intelligence (Investigation) check against your spell save DC to be found" Spell DC16. Again see rule #1.
Meanwhile near the town square...
"Certainly obliged my fine young lad," the cake seller replies taking the gold piece and giving it a bite for good measure. Convinced its genuine she leans in. "There's Duncan's that's down that way," she points down a literally shady alleyway, "or the Horn's Call over there," she adds pointing to the tattered green sign ahead with a weathered golden horn painted on it. "Either are...reasonable disreputable for Timbergrove," she finishes with a twinkle in her eye grinning.
OOC: Depending on which they choose we'll say Erika was informed of both after paying her bribe.
At the black smith's..
"Yes, yes I am," she nods setting down the tray and smiling. "You've come to the finest armory and weapon smith in all of Embera," she says confidently. "My name is Clarissa and the hard working smith over there is my wife Astrid. What sort of armor and weapons are looking for this evening," she asks with another soft curious smile.

OOC: Because Garron was not specifically looking for a trap it wouldn't be an active investigation but rather his Passive Investigation which is only 12 so he wouldn't have noticed the snare... Also, it wouldn't matter anyway, the 14(+2) was the first roll in the sequence, so even without danger sense, Garron would have succeeded (barely) on the saving throw... Finally, I mentioned that I wasn't sure, which is why I said to ignore the second roll if danger sense would not apply. I wasn't trying to force the outcome, but I wasn't sure, so I rolled with advantage and then said to ignore the second roll if it didn't apply... I thought that was reasonable, but if you don't think so, then would you rather me just roll straight and then add another roll if there is advantage (the opposite of what I did)?
Investigation (On the off-chance that you decide you need it anyways): 8
Ted grins back, even harder, as if competing with the cake seller. “Pleasure doing business with you. Duncans sure sounds fun, but maybe we should hit the Horn’s call first for to build up to it....., oh who am I kidding, we’re going to Duncans. If you swing by later I’ll get you a drink as further thanks, I’m Edmund by the way, pleasure to meet you.”
Being wrapped up in his conversation, Ted hadn’t noticed Molle slipping off. He puts away his cakes, knowing they’ll come in use for the group later, or in the morning. He checks the crowd to see if he can find Molle.
OOC: your PC doesn't get advantage, it's a straight roll my friend. You rolled that 16 with advantage which he was not granted nor does his abilities give him on this particular pickle. Please roll a straight DEX save DC 16 if fail the effects of snare apply.

Clarissa nods looking at Areon's worn leathers but the cloak doesn't seem to have am effect on her or at least none she's showing.
"Yes, indeed we have all you've requested," Clarissa then directs Areon to a rack of banded leathers well padded and covered with ornate studs shaped like stars. "I work the leather myself," she adds grinning.
One set is red, one is dark green, and the last is matte black. There two shields as well. One is wooden banded like the leathers and one is curved steel. Clarissa then directs you to a table of a half dozen daggers, two rapiers, and a amazing looking scimitar!
Prices:

Shield 1 is 20 GP ; shield 2 is 35 GP
Daggers 4 GP apiece
Rapiers 30 GP apiece
Scimitar 45 GP

Abruptly hoisted in the air everything not worn clatters to the ground around Garron's feet, he is now restrained.
"Manners my lad," the gnome begins. "My name is Morris Crowley and I seem to be your teacher for today. Manners are important. To many folks who think they can take advantage of my size they often find themselves at a disadvantage," the gnome adds moving from his stool and looking around as the imp appears again. "He's made a nuance of himself hasn't he Blix my dear," the gnome says lovingly to the imp as he then sighs blowing out his pursed lips. "Now you came into my business and asked me questions. I apparently didn't give you the answers you sought then you decided to be rude. You don't know me sir or what I might take offense to. I will not be intimidated in my own shop regardless of how big you think you are," he adds next grinning. Morris is walking around the counter and careful to keep out of arm's length of Garron. "Apologize and promise to leave or you'll find out just how powerful I am and you are not," Morris adds in a warning tone as the imp settles on his shoulders hissing at Garron.

"Octopus," corrected Trixi (she already knew only fishermen understood the difference and not even all of them, so just mechanically corrected), "and yes, she was. They are quite smart too."
