The woman turns to Delamnis and nods. "Thank you again for the help. Those Xanathars are like roaches. The name's Yarga Stonefist, I'm a sellsword. Good to meet ya, Demalis. Good swing too, and your friends seem to pack some power as well.
Volo nods at Alberich. "Yes, let's just say I don't have the easiest time around the Watch. Being a celebrity and all, but if you need to talk to the Watch for directions to help find my friend that's up to you. I'm hoping to find Floon."

Meep perks up at the mention of Xanathar, and tugs on Delmalis' pants leg. "The gray dwarves who owned me were coming to Waterdeep to do business with Xanathar before I escaped - If he's involved, whoever he is, I definitely want to stick with this group," he whispers up to his friend.

"Pleased to make your acquaintance, Yarga," Lussanods. Turning back to Alberich, "I, too, have little use for the Watch. Too often they are too corrupt to be of use to good folk."
"Skewered Dragon....I'm new to this city. Could you give me directions to this bar?" Sybil askes amidst chatter, "I find 'law' eninfrocement often slow when fair amount of coin is shaking the other way,"

Alberich indignantly replies to the others statements: "Why... Well... I guess... While I may agree that in a city of this size there is room to have some spoiled ale in the mix, I do believe that most of us are in the Watch with an honest aspiration to protect this city and its citizens!" He takes a few breaths to cool down, and continues: "How about we discuss this further over a pint or two? I find that is often the best way to reach a mutual understanding."
"Forgiveness, please. I'm new to town and most of my experience with the watch was in Baldur's Gate. But a pint, or a nice cup of wine would be most welcome." Blushing slightly at her gaff, Lussahopes not too many feathers have been ruffled.

"Why don't we have our drinks at the Skewered Dragon?" Meep suggests, oblivious to the rising tension between the dwarf and the elf. "You never know, maybe we'll find this Floon person quickly - and he can drink with us!"
Meep isn't quite drunk, but a full flagon is a quite a bit more than he's used to having at his size, and with ten gold coins burning a figurative hole in his pocket, he's looking forward to another half pint.
Twitch slapped Meep on the back. " Little Dragon is wise, you all drink....become fuzzy...clumsy..talk, laugh...everyone happy form group."
" Then we go kill all the people."
" Uh...All thebad people. Zanadu, Zintirum, Watch.....no...not Watch, Twitch learned that one is not to be killed before."
" Loose Vent remember? Twitch try slice up Watch....Vajra say next time Twitch try face melt off."
Twitch gave the kobold a kiss on the forhead and ripped off a stirge leg to chew on.
" Let's go! Twitch will give all money for others drink....Twitch doesn't drink. Bad things happen....", for the first time the manic look left Twitches eyes and deep sadness dwelled there for a moment before the huge mane of hair shook and obscured their face.
"Aye, I remember Twitch. 'Twas fun up to that point, though!" Lussasmiles at the memory. "But, good idea, let's get to the Skewered Dragon. Maybe they can help me learn HOW to skewer a dragon!" Then realizing the company she was in and not yet sure of their feelings on dragons, "long story, and as long as no one here serves a dragon, I'll tell it to you sometime."

Khione's perception roll to hear the whisper: 13
If she hears Meep's whisper, she will ask him about it later.
Lussa's suggestion that the bar would teach them to skewer a dragon had her pursing her lips. "I'd... hope not." she responded, offering a nervous smile that came and went.
"I can spare some coin on drink, I'm not a heavy drinker myself."
Yarga regards Lussa and Delamis with nods. "Thank you again. Perhaps we'll run into each other later." Before she leaves, she raises an eyebrow at Twitch's words, then leaves the Portal.
Volo smiles and waves "Good luck," before leaving as well.

Living in Waterdeep your whole life, you have a general idea of where the Skewered Dragon would be in the Dock Ward. You get advantage on any rolls pertaining to trying to find the tavern.
If you have anymore business at the Portal, go ahead and roleplay that out. Once everyone is ready to leave the Portal, roll a check you'd think would help you find this tavern. It can be Survival, History, Persuasion (if you ask for directions), etc.

Happily nodding along to people agreeing with him, Alberich says: "Yes, moving the party to the Skewered Dragon sounds like an excellent idea. I'm sure Durnan here could use some space to clean after the previous happenings, too, ho ho!" He thinks for a second, and then continues: "I think I've seen the place a time or two during patrol, let's see if I can find it again", as he starts moving towards the door.
Delmalis will regretfully bid farewell to Yarga as she heads off and return to the rest of the group, "So we're going to a skewered dragon to find someone or get drunk or both? I missed some of that. Anyway, I guess that means its time to see more of the city."
He'll keep an eye out for the place on the way. Perception: 21
Remembering that Volo said the inn was in the Dock Ward, Meep remembered following some sailors in to the Yawning Portal - it should be fairly easy to deduce which direction they had come from if he put his mind to it.

"I believe we are going to this Skewered Dragon bar to locate clues to he location of Volo's companion. Whether or not the patrons we will conversate with are sober has yet to be determined," Sybil replies. On their way out, Sybil will ask passersby for directions.

Lussapulls her hood up and follows with the group. Her eyes are better suited to the dark and daylight is a bit....uncomfortable. Not to mention that many folks have a less than elevated opinion of people like her, so hiding as much of her features as possible will hopefully help alleviate dealing with such prejudices for a moment at least.
She does however, keep her ears open for any signs of danger, or possible clues that may prove useful.
OOC: It's still the evening. I'd say probably around 9 p.m.
As the party advances into the Dock Ward, tall, densely packed tenements leave most of the neighborhood in shadow at ground level. Most of the streetlamps have had their glass smashed and their candles stolen, and the smells of salt air and excrement linger as you pass by rows of run-down buildings.
As you turn a corner, you find yourselves on a street that has been cordoned off by the City Watch. Lying on the cobblestones are a half-dozen corpses, seemingly the victims of some terrible skirmish. Watch officers have disarmed and arrested three blood-drenched humans and are in the midst of questioning witnesses. One of the officers sees you. “Get on,” she says. “Nothing to see here.”
Those who stay will notice the City Watch officers arresting three bandits
Sybil approaches A gray-bearded dwarf and inquires about the location about the Skewered Dragon. He smiles and nods. "Keep going down the street, past Old Xoblob's Shop, until you come across Fillet Lane and Net Street. A shoddy looking tavern but they have pretty good chicken and potatoes.
The group goes down Fillet Lane and sees several buildings. One nearby shop stands out from the others. It has a deep purple facade, and in its window hangs a stuffed beholder. Above the door hangs a sign whose elaborate letters spell out “Old Xoblob Shop.”
OOC: If anyone wants to stop inside the shop, they can go ahead and do so, otherwise they can advance toward the tavern.

If the group walks past, Meep will stand on his tiptoes looking in the window. "I'll catch up shortly," he says to Lussa, as he catches her glancing at the name of the shop. He heads in, book in one hand, tail in the other, to keep it from knocking anything over.
