OOC: Yeah. the mace is actually a staff. I was in the middle of my online Ravenloft game while I was writing everything down. Also Roland and The Captain will both decline the gold, so just divide it between the PCs.
Roland nods at Lussa. "I can take you to the temple. Attuning to something won't take too long. You really just need to spend a little time with it. Sit down and hold it or practice with it. You could do that back at the manor. However, I'm sure elves would be curious about you holding a moonblade. They usually only work with elven folks who tied to noble blood."

Roland nods and if there's nothing else you want to do, you both go to the House of the Moon in the Sea Ward. As you walk along the streets, you notice several bystanders watching the City Watch question various people, including a half-orc woman Lussa would recognize from the Yawning Portal. The two of you arrive in the temple, one of the largest buildings in the Sea Ward.
The four-story complex was constructed is made of creamy gray stone, with a central hall ringed by lesser domes and tall slender towers of the circular or hexagonal plan. Every dome and tower-top was gilt with gold. Every dome and corner is topped by a spire bearing a crescent moon. A wide stairway led up to the huge double doors under an arch adorned with more symbols of the moon, and flanked by smaller arches. Many balconies and large windows looked out over the streets. As you approach, Roland points out the gate, which depicts Selûne throwing a defeated Shar down amongst the spires of Waterdeep.
A young goblin approaches you two and nods. "Can we help ya?"
Roland nods. "This is my friend Lussa. I'm Roland. We are here to speak with a priest of Sehanine Moonbow regarding an important matter of a potential artifact we found."
The goblin nods. "I'm brother Needles. Sister Yosha'rai will meet with you." He leaves and several moments later, an elven woman wearing dark blue and white robes. She regards you both a smile. "I'm Sister Yosha'rai. Call me Yosha. What can I do you for?"

Lussabows, "greetings, Sister Ysha'rai, I am Lussvanta, but please, call me Lussa. My friend, Roland, here and I came to learn more about this," she unwraps the Moonblade, allowing the flat of the blade to rest across both of her hands. "I received a sense from it that I need to come here to fully connect with it."
Sister Yosha studies the blade as a pair of other elves walk over and stare at it. One casts a spell over it. One eyes Lussa before pointing at the blade and speaks elvish. Yosha fires back, almost in an angry tone.
If Lussa speaks elvish
"That blade belongs to a family. She shouldn't have it."
Sister Yosha: The blade seems to be like her. Besides, that family isn't around to claim it."
"But the runestone!"
"I'll pop out the damn thing if it makes you happy."
Ten tense minutes go by as the third priest nods at Lussa. "This blade seems to be changed by a goddess. The moment you touched it, it changed. Judging by the color and the runestone taking the shape of the unicorn, I'd say it was the goddess Mielikki. You should be able to attune to it just fine. You just need to spend a little bit of time with it."

Lussawaits in silence as the other elves argue. "Thank you, Sister, I truly appreciate you." As she wraps the blade up, she pauses, looking up at the others, "I did not choose this blade, but it seems to have chosen me. I will not dishonor it, or its family of origin." Once the blade is secured, she will bow to them, speaking in Elvish, "Peace be with you, friends."
She will return to the manor with Roland, unless he has other places to stop first.

Roland doesn't need to go anywhere else and they head back to the manor.
When Sybil, Demalis, Twitch, and Meep arrived back at the manor, they noticed Rotthran standing at the inn. The children enter the inn as well, appearing to have been in a scrape. They mention something about cursed dolls before going into their backpack clubhouse.
Lim writes on the chalkboard "What's wrong with him?" He's indicating Meep.
With Sybil and Meep being attuned to the arcane, they notice the stone in Rotthran's hand, pulsing as if its trying to talk to them. Do either of you speak Deep Speech?

(Delmalis can't use the armor and isn't interested in the dagger. Unless someone has an objection, just splitting the coin between the five PC's there at the time: 101gp, 6sp.)
Delmalis will quickly retreat to his room to continue reading his new book.
Sybil, you continue to hear the stone speak out in Deep Speech.
"Attune to me. Find the keys. Find the gold ... dragons ..."
Twitch, you watch as Roland walks over and makes a quick drink for Meep. "This will cure that stomach." If Meep drinks it, he'll stomach will settle.
As you approach the backpack, it opens and you climb down into what appears to be a lobby with small wooden furniture. There are empty cups and the children are reading or drawing on paper. Ez approaches you and offers you cookies and water. When you ask about the dolls, she bites her lip. "We were playing pirates near the Dock Ward when we saw the Wands children sitting on the street. They told us that their aunt was acting strange after they received a shipment of toys. We went over and found that the toys were alive. They were trying to stab their butler with a silver needle but we saved him and took care of the dolls."
The tabaxi girl Kyli adds," I think we got all of them.
Ez turns to her with a frightened expression. "You think?"

"Other than twice this week, I have risked my handsome looks for it and it causing trouble for my employers and their competitors?" asks Rotthran, staring at the stone.
