OOC: guess Ramon, Grol and Malakadin need to drink the potions to stay healthy for encounters otherwise, we should take the loot and explore further in the cave.

OOC: a short rest should be a chance for Ramon and Grol to spend some hit dice to heal up assuming they still have hit dice to spend. I know Malakadin was pretty hurt, not sure if he needs it the most but I can spend a [spell]Cure wounds[/spell[ on whoever needs it the most for: 5
Malakadin watched as the last enemy fell with great joy. He joined the others in searching the room, and in response to the idea of a rest he agreed "I am wounded, and my magic dwindles. A rest would be much appreciated. With Klarg defeated the goblins will have noone to get orders from , so Gundren should remain safe, assuming he was when we arrived". When the Morningstar is put up for in a game of chance Malakadin respectfully declines saying "I prefer the finer edge of my blade, and I'm not much for gambling, but I am always ready for a game of wit if anyone would partake."
OOC: If a short rest is had Malakadin will pull his drum from his pack and begin a rhythmic beat over which he will begin to recite a Dwarven poem of bravery in battle. (We will get and 1d6 HP back for each HD spent or HP regained from a spell due to my Song of Rest feature)
If Malakadin has hit dice remaining and so does Ramon then Sol will cast the above cure wounds on Eldon healing for 5+ the 1d6 that the song of rest feature provides. If that is what is decided upon go ahead and roll the 1d6 Eldon. Or is there anyone else out of Hit Dice to spend?
During this short rest if no one is objecting to Sol grabbing the quarterstaff then he will play around with it and see if he can figure anything about it out. (Doesn't have identify, but I believe if it requires attunement rules state that a short rest can allow you to learn the properties and if required to become attuned to a magic item).

Upon awakening, he feels refreshed and ready to move on.

OOC: Grol is back to full health. That’s the last of my Hit dice. Is the morning star just a normal morning star or do I have to have someone have a look at it? Also, pardon the roll at the top, I used it for formatting and forgot to remove it.
During the break Sol will count the coins in the pouches and ask "So are we going to split the coins up or do we want to set up some kind of shared pool of funds for the time being?" He also turns to Eldon and asks "You seem to know a lot about magic, by Mystra's will, any idea what this thing can do?" As he holds out the quarterstaff.
After the rest Sol will once again use his fiendish vigor Eldritch invocation to cast False Life and gain 8 temp HP. As he finishes casting the spell a radiant light seems to emanate from him for a moment as his body seems to grow slightly more resilient.
Ok, by my count everyone is at Full Health except Ramón (11/23) if he or anyone else is going to do something about that we can retcon the action.
Now to check for the encounter: Stopping in the cave is risky so an encounter will show up on 17-20. Roll: 20 (Well...that happened.)
Towards the end of the hour why you're resting a Goblin walks in clearly coming to talk to Klarg or one of his compatriots. He stands in the doorway and is dumbfounded for a minute as he sees his leader slumped in a bloody pile and five of his brethren dead in the doorway to the cave room.
He quickly turns and goes screaming back into the cave.
"That is not good, however we may still be able to turn this to our advantage. What if we were to retreat back down the way we came. We could start a fire at the bottom of the chimney in case they follow and then circle back around and catch their flank"

In an attempt to silence the howling Goblin, Grol grabs one of his javelins that had been poking out of his kit. Although still on his knees, Grol hurls the javelin, side armed, at the goblin.

He is currently in range. You guys could always give chase as well.

Sol will clutch his crystal in his hand and point at the goblin as his hand starts to glow and an Eldritch Blast shoots towards the screaming goblin.
