"Well nice job, we took quick care of that; before she looks at the newcomer, so how did you get into a fight with that creature?"

"Yeah, you really shouldn´t wander the underdark by yourself, even when as skilled with blades as you obviously are."Vierna smiles grimly at Rinnill "I´m Vierna, our guide you might say, and we are travelling to Neverlight grove for now, even though some of us will probably look for a way to the surface eventually." While talking Vierna calmly collects an arrow that has pierced the rubbery skin of the abomination. "There´s quite a few of us now, but you are welcome to join us if ou like."
Runnill looks around at the motley group, clearly sizing them up. Once his eyes spy the symbol on Venrila‘s shield, his eyes light up. “You are a follower of Eilistraee?” When she says she is, the new drow smiles. “I was worried I had encountered servants of Lolth.” He looks around again. “I am looking for my father and brother.” He gives a quick description of each. “I’m not sure how long they’ve been down here under the surface, so I don’t know where to look.”
"Haven´t seen them I´m afraid, but you don´t run into many people in the underdark, these travellers being a rare exception." Vierna gestures at the group behind her in the cavern. "And you will find no servants of that vile spider goddess among us, of that you can be sure, although I think that one was recently reformed."Smiling grimly and nodding in the direction of Asha. "Since you don´t know where to look you might as well join us, the settlements in the underdark are few and far between, but our path will probably take us by the duergar city of Gracklstugh. Perhaps you want to start your search there. I didn´t catch your name there though bladesinger."
"Ah!" Rinnill says, looking both surprised and a bit abashed. "Rinnill Teloara," he says, smiling brightly. "You must know many bladesingers to have found me out so quickly. As for joining you, that sounds much better than searching on my own. I've grown up hearing many tales about the Underdark, but this is my first journey, and I'd have to say the tales are not nearly as dangerous as the actual place." He absently rubs his neck near a large welt.
"Well met Rinnill Teloara. I know of your kind and made an educated guess. The humming and the fancy footwork gave it away a bit I think." Smiling back at Rinnill. "So you too are from the surface then. You will find yourself in good company here even though I myself spent most of my lifetime wandering these caves and tunnels. I thought about visiting the surface but I don´t understand how you can live with that blistering light from above." A brief pause. " Oh, did the abomination harm you Rinnill?"
"Bladesinger..." Xunhar mutters and dwells on the thought for a moment, then snaps out of it "We should move. The sounds of battle may have come to the attention of others."
"Yes I agree Xunhar, let´s move out." Vierna grabs her backpack from the cave and prepares to scout ahead, aiming for the best route to the Darklake where there will be decided if we try to cross it by raft or go around it.
(OOC:Haven´t played a ranger/outlander before but note the following regarding travel through the underdark. The group won´t be slowed by difficult terrain and won´t become lost except by magical means. Vierna will be able to forage water and food, mostly mushrooms i suppose, for 10 people per day. While scouting ahead alone she can move stealthily at normal speed. Her stealth, if you want to roll it is +7 and her passive perception is 16.)
"Nice to meet you Rinnil. Glad you recognized the emblem on my shield. Yes I am a follower of Eilistraee, my name is Venrila"

Varnos remains quiet as he let the others talk for now. He sliding the sword back into its makeshift sheath & stands back, still a little surprised with the number of elvenkind that had been found within the tunnels.
Vierna Duskryn, possibly a bit less oppressed and dreaded by the tunnels as it is her favored environment, scouts ahead and forages as per post #429. :-)
Venrila will move into small talk with the Rinnill, and others if they walk close to them. Couple of questions at once for the flow:P
"So how did you end up in that fight?"
"Where did you see the emblem of my god before?"
"Where do you come from?"

(When the party conversation is done, I've got the next encounters ready. Surprisingly, there is still the same sense of oppression.)
Vierna senses the dread and oppression in the otherwise familiar tunnels of the underdark. Something is happening, something terrible, she thinks to herself while waiting atop a boulder for the others in a dark and damp cavern with various fungi to show the rest of the travellers which of the tunnels from there that leads to the Darklake.
(OOC: Intriguing. Proceed with the encounter I think. We will catch up with the conversations.)
