Sha'kar moves back out from behind the wall and casts Sleep once again, this time aiming to take out Kogu. Hp affected: 18
(If I can place it where it'll hit Kogu but not Runthiel, nimbus or myself, I'll do that. M7 maybe if that gives Runthiel total cover but still hits Kogu? Have trouble with determining where total cover starts. Could cast there from I11 to be well out of range myself. Otherwise, move to L9 and cast to L4 to hit both Kogu and Runthiel, while I'm just out of range of it's effect myself)
(@Orileo, i'm saving that for something. Either way, I think we just lost.)
(Wait, it does 2d10? Crap! That's actually good. I was gonna bait Runthiel over after he dealt with kogu, command him to Halt, Ready a poison spray with his wasted turn, and Hellish Rebuke him if he hit me.)
(Hey, if we're ever targeted with sleep, I'll just make us all attack someone. I got a blood curse with this level. Yay!)
(Assuming you mean Fallen Puppet, it only helps if you have a ranged weapon in hand or someone in melee range. And the person sleeping you will probably rarely be in melee range :P.)
Sha'kar drops another blast of sleep powder that washes over Kogu and sends him dropping into the dirt. Arena attendants rush out to carry Mwaha away and stabilize Wilhelm. The head medic makes an appearance reviving Raebite and Chanting with a potion and a healing word. He also gives Ebrius, Bill, and Kogu a shake to bring them back to the moment.
Congratulations Raebite, Runthiel, Nimbus, Chanting, and Sha'kar. You are victorious!
Down in the Head Medic's Office Wilhelm wakes some time later and finds the woman from the Glory pressing a magic orb to Mwaha's forehead. The bird gasps as he springs awake from the horror beyond life. Mwaha, Kogu, Ebrius, Wilhelm, and Bill each gain 200 xp and a purse of 40 gold.
The victors each earn 300 xp to advance to level 2 with a prize of 100 gold. They are brought to the prize room. Inside you may collect your prize...
Tier 1:
"Take any one item. We're well equipped." The room contains every item from Chapter 5 of the Player's Handbook weighing 70 pounds or less, armor of varying sizes, instruments, tool kits. There are also spell scrolls, every first level spell is present (as well as spell scrolls of a level for which a magic user of the characters new level would have slots for), and an encyclopedia of knowledge. Reading these books will grant you proficiency with any one tool kit or any one language, depending which book you choose. The books are magically infused to allow easy retention, but the magic is lost once used.
Cultic Chanting grabs some scale male and puts it on, replacing his studded leather armor because safety first. He goes out on the town and sits on a bench, because they're comfortable.
(Wait, why are ebrius. And Bill unconscious? Not that I'm complaining.)
(Nimbus put them to Sleep.)

(Sha'kar put them to sleep)
(Kind of wish Bill got off that Hellish Rebuke for that firebolt earlier though. Ah well.)

(Yes, but if we have a decent archer, then we're all set! Plus, if I do go into melee range, dueling fighting style +Finesse.)
