Glowing sigils appear underneath Vurnic and Maginio, teleporting them away to an unknown location, then Barosh, the human, appears in the center of the arena as all the stone walls recede into the ground with a deep grumble. "Well done! Well done! I'm so thankful for you all, watching people fight to the death is absolutely the spice of life. Now, come with me, it's time for your reward."
As he says this, Scarab, Swigg, and Denka all feel a bit stronger as you all gain 1800 xp. You are then teleported into the treasure room, and you all hear Barosh's whisper, "Don't tell the owners of this place that we found the back way in".
As you shop, your purses feel much heavier as 400 gp is teleported directly into your pockets (Dex save DC 19 or your pants fall down).
Maginio and Vurnic, you both wake in your rooms, cold sweat dripping down your faces. You both have a strange nightmare of being forced to cater to a strange, elderly, Elf's needs (reading him bedtime stories), and gained 1200 xp from the experience as well as 160 gp each.

"Take any one item. We're well equipped." The room contains every item from Chapter 5 of the Player's Handbook weighing 70 pounds or less, armor of varying sizes, instruments, tool kits. There are also spell scrolls, every first level spell is present (as well as spell scrolls of a level for which a magic user of the characters new level would have slots for), and an encyclopedia of knowledge. Reading these books will grant you proficiency with any one of tool kit or any one language, depending which book you choose. The books are magically infused to allow easy retention, but the magic is lost once used.
Upper Tier:
The victor may choose instead, an item from a magically infused chest that summons 10 randomly selected magic items to choose from (rarity determined by level). Alternatively they may exchange a magic item for another item of their choosing of the same rarity or lower, if the administrator has the requested item in his extensive collection. "You name it, we've probably got one somewhere."
Denka is a little surprised, she had taken so much time to plan her next move and POOF!! treasure room. She happily receives a brooch of shielding as her prize.
Maginio, sad he lost, goes out in the middle of the night, and raises his staff to be touched by the moon, hopefully making it more powerful for his next match.

Parabolus brings forward his expanding cloud of horror engulfing everyone in its shadow. Three spiders grow from his jar. As they approach they are accosted by Spirit Guardians taking 15, 17, and 16 Radiant damage (Or half with a DC 14 Wis save: 20, 5, and 15). They attack, hitting 16, 12, and 6. [Edit: advantages, 15, 9, and 7.] One, or rather 'Three', hits dealing 7 piercing and 10 poison. (Concentration: 14)
As Rothander moves to A8 he drinks his healing potion 6 and starts a simple prayer "Tharmekhûl god of forge and fire I put my faith in you to shield me from from damage." Casting shield of faith. As Rothander finishes his prayer smoke from his forge can be seen filtering into the arena and encasing his body. "Blade boy come meet ye maker."
Rothander heals and bolsters his defence as he emerges from the cloud of locusts.

Church summons a Spiritual Weapon to strike at the second spider hidden within the dense cloud, hitting 25 for Unable to parse dice roll. force. He also attempts to smush the spider himself, hitting 18 for 5 blunt damage, but he isn't able to land a blow.
