G&G intend to visit Town Hall, but first head back towards the Triboar Trail looking for signs of / persons that may have something to do with the shadowy figures last night.
Alarion heads to Alderleaf Farm to have a chat with Qellene the halfling, and perhaps pass on the message for Carp?
Katherine and Cringer go to Daran Edermath’s Orchard.
(OOC - I can't help but ask... WHAT kind of keys were you trying to pick up Gabriel?? It wasn't that kind of Inn!)
Quote: "Sounds like a good plan to me. We can sleep on it and discuss is at breakfast." Gabriel will finish his glass of wine grab one of the reaming keys and head upstairs to bed.
DM, if it is easier not to have us split up, then just say so, and we can figure it out from there. AS a DM myself, I do know that splitting groups makes things a huge amount more difficult at times.
(OOC it will mean each group waiting longer as I try to sort out what happens when to who and coming back together etc... I'll try it and see how it goes for right now, but likely best to avoid as much as possible?!)
Grzak and Gabriel retrace their steps from last night, back towards the Triboar Trail. It is a lovely early morning, sun beginning to warm the cool air. Domestic sounds come from homes and surrounding buildings.
Assuming that you will be looking both for people, as well as for any physical evidence left where you heard / saw figures following you last night, you can both make Perception and Investigation checks.
Katherine and Cringer pass by the Shrine of Luck as they cross the town 'square' and Village Green, seeing the Edermath Orchard on the far side.
Although it is early, the half-elf they met the night before is already at work in the orchard, which lies beside a tidy cottage.
Kathrine leads the way over to the man and give a smile of greeting. "Well met." She says as she looks around at the well-tended orchard. "Nice place."
Cringer stays in the pretty lady's shadow, keeping her between him and the old adventurer. he peeks out as Kathrine talks to the man, but doesn't speak himself.
"So, what did you not wish to speak of, with the town master near, last night?" Kathrine asks directly, not wishing to beat around the bush.
Gabriel's attention to detail has pieced together a few things. There seem to be a few areas of footprints, and areas... I'll get back asap (cliffhanger lol)
... where there are 'look-outs' behind the remains of stone walls from the old town. Matted dirt, broken glass, foul smells of things that may have been drank and smoked. There's a tangle on a nail beside a ruined building. It turns out to be a ripped half of a ruined cloak. 'Slaypin Geint' is scrawled on part of the cloth in dark red.
Despite the way that doors close and townsfolk tend to disappear as you investigate, Grzak notices a curious child peering from beside the wall of a building.
Daran spies your approach, and spryly makes his way down a ladder to greet you warmly. Katherine’s straightforward question brings a lift to one eyebrow, and a quirk to his lips.
“You mean business m’Lady. That is good. May I offer you both a tea made from my herb garden? We can have a chat inside my humble cottage?”
The half-elf gestures towards the small, well-maintained building beside the orchard.

Recap, correct me if not correct:

Katherine and Cringer go to Daran Edermath’s Orchard.
Yep. If there's time after he visits the farm, Alarion's also going to go to see sister Garaele.
Yes, I do recall that too Alarion.

Key to a room
Seems like we have our plan, let's see if splitting the party ends as badly as it usually does... lol.
(Lol true story )
(So, what happens?)
Alarion follows the map through dirt roadways, and comes across a homey farmhouse, with well tended fields in view behind.
Will he knock upon the door or go around to view the fields?
Katherine and Cringer pass by the Shrine of Luck as they cross the town 'square' and Village Green, seeing the Edermath Orchard on the far side.
Although it is early, the half-elf they met the night before is already at work in the orchard, which lies beside a tidy cottage.
Perception check:15
Investigation check:21
Knock on the door.
Perception: 18
Investigation: 1

(Lol that's funny)
Kathrine leads the way over to the man and give a smile of greeting. "Well met." She says as she looks around at the well-tended orchard. "Nice place."
Cringer stays in the pretty lady's shadow, keeping her between him and the old adventurer. he peeks out as Kathrine talks to the man, but doesn't speak himself.

(G&G teamwork indeed! Starsky and Hutch here?)

Despite the way that doors close and townsfolk tend to disappear as you investigate, Grzak notices a curious child peering from beside the wall of a building.
Grzak tries to appear as big and cuddly as possible and he motions to the child to come closer.
