"It's going well, the cleaning is coming along although I think we may not be the only ones living...or maybe I should say unliving?...here?" Guardian informs the others.
"Multiple times while I was cleaning today, things would fall or tip over. It was a bit disconcerting but it never seemed mean." Guardian adds. "Did you find the clothes you needed?"
Jeremiah nods, and brandishes his clothes. ‘I’ll just get changed then we can go out…’ he sprints upstairs, quickly gets changed - into his new midnight blue robes - and sprints back down. He looks down at his bare feet, ‘Umm, I might need to get some boots on the way, too!’
"You clean up well, young sir." Guardian says as Jeremiah comes back downstairs. "Just act like I am your bodyguard when we are meeting the Lord and at the opera" he states as he gathers his weapons.
Frankie and Delboy have returned and the four kids are working and cleaning and fixing the place up. You figure they can get it livable but getting it to be a place of business again may require more than they can do.
Jeremiah, from what you've heard this defienelty sounds like a spirit.

As you return to the Yawning Portal, you feel a few more eyes on you. It seems word of what you have accomplished has spread. Durnan, the barkeep, calls out, "Ah welcome back. You lot look like a right proper group of adventurers now. First round is on me for helping out with that Troll." Guardian, you see Jalester Silvermane sitting in a corner of the tavern with a drink in his hand. When he sees you glance over he waves. "Ah good to see you again Guardian. And this must be your compatriot Jeremiah. Great to meet you. Jalester Silvermane at your service. I take it you wish to meet with my master? Wunderbar." He grabs his cloak and tosses a coin to Durnan before beckoning for you to follow him out of the tavern.

On the way to the Yawning Portal, Jeremiah finds directions to a good boot maker. He buys one set of soft boots, that won’t need breaking in, to wear now, and orders a second set of harder-wearing fitted boots that he’ll collect when they’re ready…
…
Jeremiah nods to Durnan, and takes something non-alcoholic ‘A wizard without his wits is a fool indeed…’ he says, as though repeating something he’s heard before ‘Do you have a pasty or something, Mr Durnan?’ he asks, he stomach grumbling, even as Guardian directs his attention to this Jalester Silvermane.

Jeremiah quickly polishes off the bread and drink, stopping before automatically wiping his mouth on his sleeve, and instead pulls out his white handkerchief…
He nods to Jalester, ‘I guess we can go now?’ he says, checking with Guardian…
You are lead through the streets to the city hall. Jalester nods to the guards and brings you to a small meeting room. Inside you find a silver haired woman dressed in long white robes. Turning to you she says, "Ah Guardian. I am glad you came. I take it this is your adventuring companion Jeremiah?" She bows slightly and introduces herself, "I am Laeral Silverhand, the current Open Lord of Waterdeep. Jeremiah, unfortunately what I wish to discuss pertains to Guardian alone. Jalester can show you some refreshments outside. We shouldn't be too long."
Surprised by her Statement Guardian looks between her and Jalester and the Open Lord. "Why must he leave?" Guardian asks. "What could you possibly have to talk with me about that would matter if Jeremiah were present?"

‘You mean being abandoned to the streets, surviving, and helping my friends survive?’ says Jeremiah, quietly, intently. (It doesn’t make him angry, he’s has worse insults thrown at him) ‘About what I’d expect from you nobles - you don’t like to be reminded that luck is the only reason you’re not from the gutter too. Or is it that you don’t like to be reminded of your failings as a Lord? Of your failure to help those in your city who need the most help?’
He pats part of his robes and turns to leave ‘Come on Bob, we’ve got each other, we don’t need these hypocrites…’ he says, speaking as though to another person. ‘I’ll see you back home, G. I’ve no stomach for their “refreshments”…’
Torn between his ingrained behavior of obeying nobility and his strong sense of loyalty to those under his protection Guardian was unsure what to do. "I...don't understand. How do you even know who I am? This makes no sense." Feeling out of his element and overwhelmed he decides it's just best to leave. "I'm sure you can find someone better qualified for what you need than me. Let's go Jeremiah."
She shakes her head as you leave and say, "The Lord's Alliance is always looking for prospective new adventurers to join their ranks, as are many other factions in our city. And after what you accomplished against the Xanathar Guild, many eyes are on you. Should you change your mind, our support comes in many ways."
Assuming you head back I'll update to the opera later today to give some rp or down time.
(Where to next? Opera? Reach out to the Open Lord?)
(Does the time allow for Open Lord, then Opera afterwards?)
(Yeah I'd say it is around midday)
Jeremiah piles into the manor, clothes in hand. ‘Hi G! How’s it going?’ he calls out ‘Shall we head to the Yawning Portal?’
He looks around ‘Frankie? Delboy? Did you get food?’
"It's going well, the cleaning is coming along although I think we may not be the only ones living...or maybe I should say unliving?...here?" Guardian informs the others.
‘I hear from Mr Trench the Private Investigator that the person who ran the inn died of a heart attack here. Maybe he never left..?’
Jeremiah tries to recall what he knows about ghosts, and similar phenomena…

Durnan smiles and hands you some bread and a mocktail.
Jalester seems to be a decent guy. You don't get a read of anything suspicious from him

He nods to Jalester, ‘I guess we can go now?’ he says, checking with Guardian…
Guardian nods. "Let' see what he has to say." He says, following Jalester but keeping his hand on his axe.

"Unfortunately due to his less that legal past, he is not a fit for our organization."
