Noell and Vahorn kick things off by skewering the Yuan-ti.  He looks quite hurt and surprised. [[Bloodied]]

Dumasz's breath almost does in the snakes. [[Bloodied]]

Hayeth's Acid hits the Yuan-ti. the left cultist, and just misses one of the snakes.

Lia's quick moves take out the right cultist.

The snakes lash out at the source of the cold. One misses Dumasz, but the other bites him for 5 damage. It also poisons him, 8 poison damage DC11 Con save for half.

Noell and Vahorn are up, followed by Lia.

Any of the ones that failed the save and took a turn take 8 acid damage at the starts of their turns

(I can roll it separately for each but I thought one roll would streamline things, just let me know ^-^ obviously Ill roll again at the top of a new round)

Poking his head put from around the tunnel, Vahorn looses another arrow at the Yuan-ti, snarling “Give up, and tell us what unnatural things you’ve done to these snakes! I have no passion for bloodshed, but if I need to, you and all your kind will be culled.”

Attack: 16 Damage: 12 Plus 1 piercing damage. 

Shocked at the sight of the yuan-ti, even though the others tried to prepare her for it, Noell reflexively lets out another crossbow aimed at him.

The Yuan ti falls.

Dumasz con save 7 

Dumasz falls to the snake bite...

(Lia would knock the cultist unconscious, not kill them. Same goes for this one if she takes them out.)

Circling around the fallen body towards the other cultist, Lia makes a strike at their abdomen with her staff, then throws her elbow up towards their throat.

Attack: 11 Damage: 10

Attack: 14 Damage: 4

Lia's staff misses the cultist, but it sets her up for a hit to the throat.

The cultist, coughing and choking, slashes at Lia with a scimitar, leaving a wicked slice on her arm. (3 slashing damage)

Dumasz, make a death saving throw.

The snakes, seeing Dumasz fall, turn to Lia.  The cnakes are at least 5 feet from Lia and the cultist is in melee with her.

Hayeth is up.

Hayeth shouts out as Dumasz falls "No! You snake gits!"

She then runs forwards to him and tries to stabilise him and tries to pull him out of danger (she can't lift him but she'll try to drag him)

Medicine: 16

"C'mon don't die on me, don't die on me"

 New Caustic Brew damage for those affected: 5

One of the snakes turns and bites Hayeth for 8 damage.  She slumps to the floor.
The other bites Lia for 7 damage. She appears okay but quickly succumbs to the poison. [[13 poison, 6 if you save, so you are down.]]

Vahorn and Noell are up.

The cultist and two snakes remain. The only ones affected by the caustic brew were the cultist Lia knocked out only to have the acid damage kill them and the Yuan-ti.

Vahorn, seeing his new companions fall, looses an arrow at the snake that towers over Hayeth. He quickly looks over the beast for any weak points.

Attack: 19 Damage: 5 piercing damage plus 4 piercing from Favoured Foe

At the moment the arrow leaves it’s string, Vahorn lets go of the bow and it clatters to the ground. He leaps forward, rolling on the ground before leaping between the snake and Hayeth as he hisses violently brandishing a shortsword.

Vahorn chops the snake in two, leaving him in a position defending his wounded comrades from the remaining snake and cultist.

Noelle is up, followed by Lia's death save and the cultist.

(Wait, Lia might be insta dead if she fails her save. She was at 7/10 hp after the scimitar, then would take 20 damage on a failed save or 16 on a success. Let’s hope the dice gods are on my side: 15)

Its two different sources of damage, so I rule no insta-kill.

Seeing her newfound companions dropping one after the other, and Vahorn attempting to face down two snakes and a cultist by himself, Noell pulls up Pinaka and tries to take out the cultist still standing:

She then drops Pinaka and pulls out her scimitar, racing forward in an attempt to join Vahorn in protecting their companions.  As the panic and desparation rises in her throat, something blurs and blinks, and she takes a misty step forward, ending up unexpectedly on the other side of the poisonous snake, flanking it across from Vahorn.

Death save: 1

Noell fells the remaining cultist, leaving only a single snake remaining.  The snake slithers away into a fist-size hole in the stairs.

[[I forgot to describe the room again., they were guarding a stairway leading down to a large wooden door.]]

You hear chanting coming from the door below, as well as loud hissing noises and drumming.

Ignoring the chanting, Noell rushes over to the others with her Healer's Kit and begins to stabilize the fallen.  "Vahorn!" she whispers furiously, trying not to raise too much noise.  "Watch the chanters, make sure they don't come upon us!"  Before the others wake up, she looks over them, then meets Vahorn's eyes.  "And... look, they made themselves clear here.  If you want to... take care... of that other cultist who we tied up... well, I think I could use my rope back more than these guys could use our mercy."  She looks over at the one cultist that Lia only knocked unconscious.  "... Do you think we should kill that one?  It doesn't feel right... but they nearly destroyed us!"

Part of her is still reeling from the battle, particularly how she took that enormous step to the other side of the room -- it happened so fast.  Vahorn hasn't said anything yet, though, so maybe... it was her imagination?  She shakes the thought away and refocuses on tending to their wounded companions - a much more important task in the heat of the moment.  "What do you think we should do?" she asks, as she applies the bandages to the unconscious.

As the snake slithers off, Vahorn rushes over to Lia. He drops to his knees and rolls her over, finding the snakes bite. Without hesitation, he puts his mouth on the wound, sucking out the venom and spitting it on the floor as Noell talks. Medicine 15

"We're better than that, Noell." Vahorn snaps as he wipes the blood from his mouth. "Killing for revenge.... fear, hate, thats what they do, not us." He nods his head toward the cultist. "We hunt for food, cull for necessity, and ease suffering for mercy's sake."

He retrieves his bow, picking up any arrows he fired before moving his new companions bodies into more comfortable positions and taking a seat himself, listening intently to the chanting. "Come Noell, sit with me. Keep Pinyaka on that cultist in case he wakes up."
