Brenvull your spiritual weapon sweeps north toward the wolves, but they move around it and deftly avoid its clawed fingers. Moving south then you release your Guiding Bolt at the Bugbear leader as he sneaks behind the tents. The energy goes wide striking the tent canvas and the Bugbear looks over at you snarling.
Kray, both of the Hobgoblins level their bows at you and fire. Attack: 11 Damage: 5, Attack: 18 Damage: 3
Lostur you head south between the tents and catch the Bugbear leader unaware as it bares down on Brenvull. It flinches as your curse grips it and barely move aside to avoid your first blow. The second strikes true and you sink your blade deep into its midriff the dark necrotic energy causing the fur around the wound to wither and fall away. The beast roars something in its own tongue as you pull you blade free and then it is attacking you with two might sweeps of its morningstar. Attack: 21 Damage: 7, Attack: 14 Damage: 13
Lorvax you suddenly find yourself pelted by magic missiles as the goblin shaman appears one more amidst the charging wolves. 5, 4, 5. You charge toward the pack and swing your halberd in a mighty arc taking off the head of the goblin rider. Without losing momentum your second strike cuts deep into the flank of the huge Direwolf on which the goblin had been sitting. The beast howls in pain and then whimpers as your shaft attack cracks it atop the head.
Kray you are up!
OOC: Brenvull I was unsure of the target for your guiding bolt so hope I got that right.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
OOC: Sorry forgot to specify, you understood correctly.
On his turn Brenvull will scream out a roar: "Would you guys just stand still for a moment so I can hit you?!" then move his spiritual weapon to the goblin shaman. Attack: 17 Damage: 9. And Toll the dead on the bugbear leader (wis save DC 14 or 10 damage)
One of the arrows get her in one leg, but the other fly true and find the place in her neck where the armor leaves place to her scaled skin. The arrow penetrates more than half the shaft and she staggers.
She grabs the arrow on her neck and pull it out in a slow but unnstoped movement.
Asking Bahamut to close her wounds she applies the palm of her hand to the neck, feeling how the pain goes away. Roaring towards the hobgoblins, she charges forward until being close to both of them, ready to strike at them at their slightest mistake.
"You are going to regret this day..." she meances them.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Kray the hobgoblins exchange a nervous glance as you stem the flow of your blood and charge toward them. Beyond them you catch a glimpse of the excavated tunnel through which the goblinoid filth have gained access to this cavern. You also hear the sound of a horn blast coming from deep within that tunnel.
Lorvax, the wounded direwolf turn and bites at you Attack: 12 Damage: 9
Emboldened by their pack leader, three more of the wolves surround you Lorvax and use pack tactics to try to sink their teeth into your scales, Attack: 23 Damage: 5, Attack: 17 Damage: 6, Attack: 14 Damage: 5. The remaining two wolves snap and snarl at Brenvulls spiritual weapon.
Brenvull you send your spiritual weapon toward the goblin shaman and its claws into its back as it tries to twist out of the way. Your attempt to cast toll the bells however is shrugged of by the Bugbear [WIS 19].
The hobgoblins throw aside their bows and draw swords as you reach them Kray. They strike together, Attack: 22 Damage: 2 plus 10 damage from martial advantage. Attack: 10 Damage: 8 plus 7 damage from martial advantage.
The Bugbear chief turns to strike you Lostur Attack: 25 Damage: 18
The goblin shaman pelts you with magic missiles again Lorvax before darting into the tent and out of sight. 3, 5, 5
Lostur, Lorvax and Kray you are up!
OOC: Any of you know how to make monster rolls appear in the campaign dice log. I dont want to lose the convenience of rolling from the sheet but like to keep as much transparent for you as possible without breaking the posts up into rolls and results which ruins immersion.
Lostur grins toothily at the bugbear chief as his attack glances off of his shield. "Were you trying to do something, corpse? Because the only thing I asked you to do was die!" He takes another swing.
First attack: 11to hit Second attack: 25 to hit, 17damage (13 + 3 piercing, 1 necrotic)
(OOC: sorry, apart from making the mobs player characters in the campaign, which I would advise against because *headaches*... but it's okay, I don't need all that much transparency as long as you tell us about the rolls if need be :) )
(I think you just need to tell us if an attack hits or we need to make a save, in case someone has a feat, spell, or buff of some sort that could affect the outcome of the roll. Otherwise, I don't need to read that some mob rolled a 1 if you want to use real dice, I'd rather just see how they critically missed :P Anyone else can correct me if they disagree, but that's my 2 cents)
On his turn Brenvull will shout out: "No, no-one is going down on my watch!" and starts running towards Lorvax. "This is gonna hurt a little before it starts to get better friend" and (if the wolves are still clustered up) will use his breath weapon (15 ft cone, Dex DC14, 10 fire damage or half on save). Then will cast healing word to heal Lorvax 4 hit points.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Lostur the Bugbear leader roars out in pain as your blade sinks deep. A spray of crimson covers the nearby tent as you pull your blade free!
Brenvull, racing back to the north you get to the pack just in time to release your flaming breath. Most of the wolves are caught up in the fire. The Direwolf takes the brunt of the attack and is brought close to death as the heat seers the fur from its flesh. Three of the closest wolves are burned to a similar extent and the air is filled with the stench of burned fur and skin as your attack drives them to the point of death. The fourth wolf caught by your attack dances back and only takes part of the damage.
Lorvax a sudden agony draws you back to consciousness, followed by the familiar feeling of a healing spell bringing you back all the way. Opening an eye you see that you are surrounded by the pack, all of them suffering from horrific burns.
In a wild frenzy of pain the wolves charge forward at you now Brenvull (the horror of what you have just done to them looses them advantages they might have otherwise received in attack) The two at the back continue to worry at your spiritual weapon. The dire wolf is first to bite Attack: 18 Damage: 13, followed by three of its pack mates, Attack: 19 Damage: 6, Attack: 16 Damage: 6, Attack: 8 Damage: 10
(As Lostur can't see any of this happening between the tents and is, in fact, more than a bit stupid, he will continue to be fully occupied with the Bugbear leader. So I'll just post his actions, minus the bless spell...)
"Squeal like the sack of meat you are!" Lostur snarls, drawing his yklwa back for another stab.
First attack: 16 to hit, 15 damage (10+3 piercing, 2 necrotic) Second attack: 10to hit
Seeing the wolves run at him Brenvull screams out: "Come at me! I can have you little doggies. Just leave my fallen friend alone!". He takes the hits by the wolves mocking them with remarks like "In the old days we had puppies that could bit harder than you", wearing him out until the last of the attacks renders him unconscious, leaving a void of silence for his remarks before that.
Brenvull the sudden shock to your system threatens to drag you away into oblivion but as you stagger back resigned to your doom you hear a sudden roar from Lorvax who lashes out from his position on the ground and smashes the spine of one of the burned wolves. By some strange twist of fate you stand there badly wounded and breathing heavily.
Kray you are up.
Lorvax took his attack of opportunity to slay that last wolf. Recover 8 damage and roll a con save for your Bless spell.
OOC: The Bless spell fades. Kray I will rag doll you for this round. Please jump back in when you can.
Assailed by the two Hobgoblins Kray attempts to dodge the attacks. Attack: 7 Damage: 6 with 10 from martial advantage. Attack: 10 Damage: 5 with 10 from martial advantage.
Lostur you land a mighty blow against the Bugbear and hear the sharp crack of bone as your weapon strikes, the claws digging into the flesh around its splintered ribs.
Having seen visions of himself going down by the angry wolves Brenvull prays to Bahamut. "Please Bahamut preserve the life of me and mine" (using Channel divinity: Preserve life he will restore 13 hit points to Lorvax and 12 to himself). "And also Bahamut strike down these awfull beings who don't respect your cleansing fire!" (BA spiritual weapon on the wolf nearest to it: Attack: 20 Damage: 6)
Brenvull as Bahamut hears your prayer and blesses you and you companion with new vigour; your spiritual weapon swoops down to take out the nearest wolf attacking you. The Dire wolf yelps in pain as the claws dig in to its back and snap its spine. It falls to the ground dead.
With the spiritual weapon out of the way the two unburned wolves move in to attack you now Lorvax. Attack: 16 Damage: 7, Attack: 24 Damage: 10
The remaining two burned wolves continue to snap at you Brenvull Attack: 18 Damage: 5, Attack: 15 Damage: 5.
In the south of the cavern the Bugbear chief is good an angry at you Lostur and tries to catch you with a vicious back handed swipe. Attack: 10 Damage: 14
You all hear horn blasts in the distance and then a roaring, rumbling sound. The ground shakes beneath your feet and I need you all to take Dex Saving Throw on your next turn, as rocks begin to fall from the roof of the cavern.
Lostur, Lorvax and Kray you are up! (Remember your Dex saves)
As Lorvax begins to rise, ready to re-join battle, he see's the two unburned wolves close in. Summoning all his strength he uses his reaction to strike out with his halberd at one of the creatures((it would be the one moving into range)).
Reaction ((I believe his last was prior to his turn? Might not have been)): 17Damage:6Slashing+ 2 Cold (Rite)
Dexterity Saving Throw: Natural 1((I think this might be bad)).
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Kray uses her shield to protect her from the falling rocks and focus her atention in one of the hobgoblins she had in front of her.
Using her legs and balancing with her tail, she pushes one of them with her shield, trying to make him fall to the ground and then tries to finish him off with her sword.
DEX ST 14, rolled on game log, even if I was trying to see what bonus was that green mark on her ST, I didn't remember if it was advantage or the shield bonus, but as the effect doesn't affect her only it doesn't matter.
- If she makes and the save allow you for half damage, she will use her reaction to take no damage.
BA: Shove one of the hobgoblins with the shield: Athletics: 19
Attacks: Attack: 20 Damage: 11
Attack: 21 Damage: 9
Two more attacks in case the shove maneuver goes well and she have advatange for attacking a prone target.
