Lorvax sits quietly for a while after his head clears. Mentally he chastised himself for being so trusting of Luxure. He had been ready to turn on his friends, his kin, in order to protect her. If it had not been for Brenvull's spell he did not know what he would have done, the pain he would have wrought.
After a while Lorvax decides to sheepishly approach the others in the party. "I am sorry... I... was not myself." he says feebly, "I am... sorry." He, uncharacteristically, fidgets awkwardly.
Lostur sticks his hand in his belt pouch and rubs the worn soul coin again (gaining 4 temporary hit points), and starts a bit when the coin crumbles to dust.
"Eh," he says to Lorvax gruffly. "You don't sound like yourself right now. Lighten up man! That was over an hour ago. It's in the past already! Now let's kick some ass an' purify some shrines already," he says, ready to go. He stops for a moment before the group decides to enter the shrine, and pulls out the potion of speed he was given, keeping it in reach for emergencies... or reappearing succubi.
(Since it's the last shrine, if something hostile jumps us, Lostur's going to ready an action to drink his potion of speed. No drinky if no ambush though. :P)
"No problem Lorvax. Some fiends mess with your mind, nothing much you can do about that, except for slaying them." He looks a bit somber about not slaying the succubus.
"Well, let's do this then. We've got this." Brenvull is prepared to lead the group in, but if anyone else wants to go in first: 🤷♂️
"No worries Lorvar. I am sorry too. I should have suspect her more, but my hopes to find more of us alive blinded me. And I set her free. But don't you worry my brothers we will find her and she will meet her demise. Now... let's see if we can finally cleanse the main shrine and free our people... Bahamut guide us..." she prays closing her eyes for a moment before taking her weapons and get ready.
The elk was indeed available, it was loitering outside. You gather at the entrance to the final shrine and you note that all of the spirits left in the great hall gather behind you. They surround you in a semicircle, silent and eager. Looking up toward where the shrine is you see only a vast cloud of gathered darkness. Lostur you send in the Elk.
There is a terrific and terrible noise. The elk cries out in anger and then pain... and then, nothing. The dark cloud seems to draw in upon itself as if inhaling and then in a sudden rush of shadow, flesh and feathers the beast within charges forth and emits an ear splitting screech.
Everyone roll initiative along with a Con save as the Vrock attacks!
Lostur, Lorvax and Kray; you feel the warm blessing of the dragon god infuse your souls.
Still reeling from the screech of the Vrock you are completely open for the viscous bite of the fiend Lostur. It lunges forward toward you, Attack: 23 Damage: 6
It then swipes around to rake you with its talons Lorvax Attack: 26 Damage: 28
Kray you scramble back to dodge the terrible attacks of the beast bringing us to the top of the round.
Lostur, recovering from the shock, fumes and points a finger at the Vrock. "You're goin' down!" he snarls as he passes his Hexblade's Curse onto it. Then he leaps forward with a look of terrible retribution on his muzzle, and slashes at the demon, managing to strike it twice:
Lorvax lets out a groan as he desperately feels at the wound on left shoulder. He attempts to ignore the pain and stares down at his now bloody hand. "Damn bird!"he exclaims as he moves to attack the creature.
His arms are a blur as he unleashes a number of halberd attacks at the Vrock in quick succession.

Seeing the Vrock hitting a stunned Lorvax rather hard Brenvull screams out: "Well, would you please let them live fiend?!" and he calls on Bahamut to ring the bell.

Lorvax, still shaken by the attack your first swipe misses. Your second cuts deeply into the fiends hide and the reverse stab with the pole sends it staggering backward howling in anger.
Kray the Vrock dances back away from your attacks as the flame hisses through empty air. (You retain your spell slots)
With a sudden burst of movement the fiend opens its wings wide, releasing a cloud of spore into the air. Lostur, Lorvax and Kray make a DC 14 Constitution saving throw or become poisoned.
NOTE: While poisoned in this way, a target takes 5 poison damage at the start of each of its turns. A target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.
