"We have been dead for some time." Rose explains. "Our parents locked us here, in the attic, to protect us from the monster in the basement, and we died from hunger. The house - it keeps our spirits here, until our remains can be put to rest. If you are looking for the basement, there is a secret door in the attic. But please. Do not touch our dollhouse or toys."
Debauchery grimaces. “Perhaps we investigate this cellar then...see if we can earn these two some much-deserved eternal respite,” he says, winking to the children. He turns to head to where the secret staircase was shown.

Felix stands and turns to leave the room. As he is about to leave, he turns back to the ghosts and says, "Do not worry, you shall soon be free from this." He then begins writing in his book and heads into the rest of the attic. (He is headed into 16 I think and then towards 19 if he can and will open that door)

Sensing nothing out of the ordinary with the two - besides the fact that they were ghosts of course - and strangely craving a sandwich, Sofia reached out to bolster the children with a reassuring touch on the shoulder only to remember too late that they were incorporeal. Her hands passing through them, she grimaced slightly in embarrassment before saying, "Oh... Sorry about that. But like the rest of them said, we'll find a way to put you both to rest." Standing up and dusting herself off, she turned towards the door before looking back at the children and asking, "Is there anything else we should know about this 'monster' before we go?" Simultaneously, Zoomi poked his head out of his carrying case and sniffed the air, studying the two children intently.
Slink follows the rest of the party, hurrying through the children's bedroom hoping she doesn't see the ghosts. "Sorry kids, that's a rough way to go." She says in a soft voice, remembering her first week on the streets, desperate for food. Her face hardens, thinking of parents doing this on purpose. She grips her daggers tighter..."alright you bastards, you are going to pay for this."
A narrow spiral staircase made of creaky wood is contained within a 5-foot-wide shaft of mortared stone that starts in the attic and descends 50 feet to the dungeon level, passing through the lower levels of the house as it makes its descent. Thick cobwebs fill the shaft and reduce visibility in the staircase to 5 feet.
Go ahead and level up!
AREA 22 - DUNGEON
The wooden spiral staircase from the attic ends here. A narrow tunnel stretches southward before branching east and west. From the moment you arrive in the dungeon, you can hear an eerie, incessant chant echoing throughout. It's impossible to tell where it's coming from.
As Debauchery leads the group down the stairs, he raises his eyebrows, whispering to the others. "Well, that my friends, is downright creepy." The tiefling warrior attempts to move quietly through the intersection, turning right and heading toward area 23.

Several crypts have been hewn from the earth. Each crypt is sealed with a stone slab unless noted otherwise. Removing a slab from its fitting requires a successful DC 15 Strength (Athletics) check; but this crypt is open. The blank stone slab meant to seal this crypt leans against a nearby wall. The crypt is empty. It's very cold down here.
Debauchery groans. “I don’t think crypts should be open and empty. That’s not good, right?”
"From what I've read in books, no, that is not never a good sign..." Sofia replied. Though fascinated, she knew now was not the time to sit around and study the odd sight. Pulling out her familiar from it's carrying case and resting it on her shoulder, she told him, "Zoomi, keep an ear out for anything sneaking up on us." She then cautiously followed Debauchery into the next crypt.

"I can't even imagine how much of this stuff is in my hair" she mumbles quietly to herself, pulling stray pieces of cobweb off her chest and arms as best she can while holding her daggers. As she exits the stairwell Slink sees Debauchery and Sofia head to the left, figuring three's a crowd she will silently head to 23C.
