"So everyone agrees to go. Lovely to hear that. '' Lucy finishes her last sip of wine, wipes her lip and puts the cup on the table. "Then let's move. Mr.Davrick. We better hurry, those tracks are fading away as time goes by."
"ok, let's be off" Bizath says, grabbing his bagpipes and slinging it across his back. he then scurries out of the room, waiting outside for the others to follow.
You finally arrive to the orchard. The first thing you see is the destruction,as the ground has scattered branches and mushy fruit remains all over it. A tree is torn out of its place, and it seems like people avoided this corner of the village for a little while. The ground is uneven under your feet. Davrick asks you if you need anything else, if not, the let's you know that you can find him at the market later.
Lucy crouches on the ground and starts to investigate the ruined orchard. Her familiar perches on a lucky surviving tree, keeping an eye out in case the beast wants to have a late brunch and returns.
You all come to the same conclusion. The uneven ground in covered in tracks that go around the area. The creature, you conclude, appears to be human-shaped. Furthermore, you get the impression that it was not just feeding on the fruit of the trees, maybe causing some ruckus, but the steps of it seem uneven and the direction illogical as if the creature was driven by some kind of passion. Additionally, while you are doing so, Bizath entertains you all with a lovely hum.
Pimkin, thanks to your perceptive nature, while investigating you feel a gentle resonance of the ground. It is a rhythm of two gigantic feet roaming somewhere among the nearby hills. You can't quite tell the distance, but you get the impression that it would be visible if not covered by the slopes.
"I've found a giant with two legs jigged here. He is an awful dancer. And…" Lucy answers Anastria."…none of the fruits were eaten. That's strange. It doesn't make sense…"The elf wizard knits her brows as she investigates the fruits.
"Sssssh, I think the giant you are talking about is verry near, maybe on the otherside of this here hill. Let me check.". Pimkin will stealthily climb up the hill to try and see if he can find the source of the giant footsteps.
Lucy have found that the pebbles on the ground start to dancing after Pimkin warned others. "Ha! That saves us a lot of troubles. Let's prepare a warm and enthusiastic welcome for the big guy then." She makes a fearless laugh and signals to her familiar. Artemis the white owl who was sleeping on a fruit tree, immediately opens it's eyes and fries up into the sky.
Upon arriving to the top of the hill, Pimpkin, you can see a large, somewhat slouching figure roam in the valley. It is appears to be chasing a giant boar, the creature probably will become his next meal if it isn't quick enough.
As the giant continues with its huge steps, each shaking the ground a little, it mutters something under its nose. It is so loud, all of you can hear. However; every word is in Giant.
One time it turns its head vaguely towards you, but it does not seem to notice anything, not even the white owl seems to be catching its attention. It is going around the hill, still in the tracks of the boar, getting nearer.
OOC: All fine, we'll wait for everyone before going into combat.
Until then, if anyone speaks Giant, please let me know.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"A giant?" Says Lucy who looks puzzled."Very unconventional. They usually prefer meat to fruits. And no giant I know would leave a orchard empty stomached. Can anyone know giant language and tell me what that big ugly grunting?"While speaking to her friends, the elf searches the library in her head, trying to find out what kind of giant this creature is.
"I g-guess we can go check it out if you really think it's a good idea..." Bizath says to the others
