As Kip introduces himself, Morrigan pulls her book out and writes his name and deeds down. "Morrigan Graves, cleric of the scribe of the dead." She turns and inspects the room, walking up to the large column in the middle. Investigation? 12
Poopy gives you a dirty look, watching your nose wrinkle, conveying to you, vaguely, that perhaps, his method of communication isn't entirely his fault, or his design.
Looking over the room, Zook notices that the room features a Clockwork Column, a Clockwork Vault door set into the floor beyond that column and columns between each door carved with images of craftsmen at work, creating wonders with their trades. He also finds, among the corpses, 100 gold and a large copper key.
In particular, the Clockwork Column appears to be active with gears and levers moving and twirling. On each side of the Clockwork Column, a central dial is visible in the upper center part, apparently ticking backward with each passing minute. The numerous gears, switches, and springs whir and click. In addition, 8 copper keyholes are on each side of the column. Inside the ring of copper keyholes are eight silver keyholes. Inside the Clockwork Dial that appears to be counting down is a row of 10 gold keyholes. Four forged suits of armor frame the column.
Everyone needs to roll initiative. All actions will be done in a turn order moving forward.
Seems like a plan. Tarak with little else he seems able to contribute will take up Camilla's suggestion and try the copper key in one of the copper keyholes.
Looking over the column and the keyholes, Kip easily can detect some aspects of the column contains traps and such. However, it appears using a proper key will not trip a trap.

As Tarak inserts the Copper Key into a Copper Keyhole and turns it, gears and levers begin whirring and clicking, whizzing and dinging. Suddenly, the clockwork door to the northwest corner pops open.

Whir, click. Slam!
The door that you used to enter this chamber slams shut with a series of mechanical sounds emitting as locks and traps upon it reset.

Maybe put the copper key in one of the copper keyholes?
