I am starting my first campaign using DNDBeyond. I had my players create characters. One of them is a fire gensei sorcerer. DNDBeyond seems to have given him 16 HP at level 1 and I cannot for the life of me figure out why. (I recreated a character using the same settings and got the same results)
Anyone have any insight?
PHB says 1d6 + Con mod (which is 3) so should be @ 9 and his draconic ancestry seems to give +1 so he should be @ 10.
It's a known bug. What I imagine happened is that your player did their ability scores before they selected their class. With no class hit die, the sheet defaults to the d12 to determine starting hit points.

It's easy to fix manually.
How do I fix it manually?
Edit: I figured it out. Thank you. Problem solved.

Must be an error can you link the Sheer? HP should be 10.

I don't see anything explaining it, must be a bug.
