So I am looking at the Stunning Strike of the Monk. I have questions. I know that a stunned target loses concentration, I know an attack on a stunned mobs is at advantage.
1. If I have three attacks and apply the Stunning Strike to the first attack can I get advantage on the second attack in the same round?
2. Does the automatic Critical apply like the Hold Person spell? I know it applies to Paralyzed or Unconscious mobs but uncertain of Stunned.
1. Yes, if the target was stunned by the first hit then all subsequent attacks would be made with advantage.
2. No, the Stunned does not cause hits to become critical hits. It prevents the affected creature from taking actions or reactions, causes them to automatically fail Strength and Dexterity saving throws, and attack rolls against them are made with advantage. But that is all.
1. Yes, you have advantage on attacks on any stunned creature, so if the creature failed the save for Stunning Strike on the first hit, then any attack after that (even in the same round) is made with advantage.
2. No, a hit on a stunned creature is not an automatic crit, that's only on paralized and unconscious creatures. While Paralized is a stronger status ailment, it seems to be far more resisted than Stunned, so stun is better more often than not.
Appendix A of the Players Handbook & free Basic Rules lists all the conditions and what they do. They don't do anything other than what's printed there. Like the wedding vows in Princess Bride - if they don't say it, they don't do it. :)

Thank you.
