I have a question about the duration of the twilight sanctuary temporary hitpoints. The temp hp rules state:
"Unless a feature that grants you temporary hit points has a duration, they last until they're depleted or you finish a long rest."
The feature that grants the temporary hit points (Twilight Sanctuary) has a duration, it is described here:
"The sphere moves with you, and it lasts for 1 minute or until you are incapacitated or die."
Now does this mean that the temporary hitpoints dissapear after 1 minute? This would mean that it does not carry over to upcoming combats. I can't find a clear answer online.
I don't know the answer but I do know the DM in the campaign I'm in ruled that they expire after 1 minute. Personally, I don't think it is a deal breaker either way.

The clear answer is in the rules you’ve already quoted. The sphere lasts for a minute. The temporary HP last until they’re depleted or until you finish a long rest. The temp HP are no the sphere, so there’s no reason to think the temp HP are in any way limited to the sphere’s duration.
See but the feature which grants the hp has a duration 1 minute regardless of if the duration is specified to be for the temp hp the rule says if the feature has a duration not "if the feature has a specified duration for the temp hp"
I disagree. The feature which grants the temp hp in this case is "you". It's not the sphere and it's not the twilight sanctuary feature.
The sphere created by the twilight sanctuary feature lasts for one minute. Simultaneously, the twilight sanctuary feature also grants you a new ability which can be used whenever certain conditions are met. For all intents and purposes this ability is useable for one minute -- or more accurately, you have one minute to take advantage of this ability. Just because you have a limited window within which you must use this ability doesn't mean that the ability itself or the effect created by using the ability has any sort of duration at all.
The conditions which must be met to use this ability are: "Whenever a creature (including you) ends its turn in the sphere".
When those conditions are met, the usable ability is that: "You can grant the creature temporary hit points".
No duration is associated with that effect. This temp HP lasts until depleted or finishing a long rest.
I agree the RAW the temporary hit points last until depleted or you finish a long rest but this is an area for DM discretion.
The twilight cleric is insanely powerful and twilight sanctuary is one of the most powerful features of it. For example this weekend I am playing a sorcerer a level 4 oneshot where we get a free feat. I was going to take inspiring leader. Fortunately I found out before the game that another player is going to be a twilight cleric as twilight sanctuary gives pretty much the same temp HP as inspiring leader but does so every 6 seconds.
It is therefore common for DMs to decide to nerf Twilight Sanctuary, or twilight clerics in general for the sake of balance.

Since the effect granting the THP did not specify a duration of the THP, my group had it last until a long rest.
