In my current game I might have the option to gain the Reborn legacy. My current character is a Tabaxi and I was trying to figure out which mechanics would overlay and which I would lose. The features I think are suspect are both "sort of" movement based features. The first is the Feline Agility feature attached to movement. The other are the tabaxi's claws which grant a claw attack and is always assumed to be the reason they gain a climb speed. The last is whether the cat's eyes still grant darkvision. All of these features are non-magical in nature and would be no different than having wings or prehensile tail.
Ancestral Legacy. If you replace a race with this lineage, you can keep the following elements of that race: any skill proficiencies you gained from it and any climbing, flying, or swimming speed you gained from it.
I know it does not expand to natural features of the original species, but it seems that non-magical, anatomical features should remain...? My DM was also planning on allowing me to keep those features of my character, but I figured I would reach out to the community to see what the consensus is on this if there is one.
Thank you for any input.

IMHO, Earthdawn is still the best fantasy realm, Shadowrun is the best Sci-Fi realm, and Dark Sun is the best D&D realm.
You keep what it says you keep: skill proficiencies and speed. RAW, there's absolutely no reason to think that you'd keep any other features.

Look at what you've done. You spoiled it. You have nobody to blame but yourself. Go sit and think about your actions.
Don't be mean. Rudeness is a vicious cycle, and it has to stop somewhere. Exceptions for things that are funny. Go to the current Competition of the Finest 'Brews! It's a cool place where cool people make cool things.
