I’ve been looking at the artificer infusions and it’s requirements. You can only infuse a nonmagical item, and items can’t hold more than one infusion. I have an idea for an artificer with a gun, who would infuse it with repeating shot, but making it an enhanced arcane focus would be really cool too. Couldn’t I infuse the gun assembly (the metal firing chamber, firing pins, etc.) with repeating shot and then infuse the wooden frame with enhanced arcane focus and then assemble it? Or would it count as one object after I assemble it?
I wouldn't allow it, because you're trying to stretch the definition of "item" to fit your needs. I would say that if you write down that you have a gun in your inventory, then that is one item.
Edit: I'd also say that you need to have a "gun" item in your possession to make an attack with one, not a frame and a barrel and flint and a hammer and triggers and whatnot. (As an aside, I don't imagine D&D guns even have firing pins, unless you're doing wild west style adventures.)
I'd vote no as well, otherwise what's preventing someone from, say... enchanting each individual part of a suit of armor? I think the game is balanced around needing to make the choice between two potentially powerful effects on one item.
Keep in mind though that Artificers are still crafters in addition to spell-casters. It will be expensive and time consuming, but it's reasonable that, over time, you could simply construct your desired gun with both infusions permanently attached. Either infusion on its own would be the equivalent of an Uncommon magic item, so combined in one I think it would be considered a Rare magic item. Xanathar's Guide has a brief section on crafting magic items, and it suggests that such a task would cost around 2,000GP in supplies and take around 10 weeks to complete. But correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Artificers are able to craft magic items at an accelerated rate as a part of their class, so it's something you could conceivably be working on as you adventure.
There may be some edge cases that could work for infusing multiple items and combining them (I can't think of a single one off the top of my head) - but for a gun absolutely not. Guns are functionally a single item when assembled and you can't infuse more than one item.
Edit: I thought of one. Maybe you could infuse the gun with repeating shot - and infuse a detachable scope with enhanced arcane focus. Because of the detachable nature (and therefore a need to attach or detach using up your free object interaction / action) - that might be allowed.

The first thing that comes to mind is infusing both a ranged weapon and the ammo loaded into it separately, but I can't remember if there are any infusions specifically for ammunition...

True, but repeating shot specifically replaces physical ammunition. To use any enchanted ammo you'd still have to load the weapon manually.
Hm if you were trying for that concept. I think I'd opt for mounting a Wand on the firearm like a bayonet under it. Probably use the TInker Tools to set that up as well

Thanks for all the responses! This really helps my thought process on creating fun things with the new class. Thanks for all the help!
