Is this happening to anybody else? Suddenly, when I roll Initiative, I get a number, followed by ".15". I don't know why I would merit a random percentage bonus (whatever that would be), but it doesn't seem random at all: it's always ".15".
This just started happening, though I haven't made any changes to the character, so pretty baffled. Any suggestions on how to correct this situation? Thanks in advance.
You're getting that .15 because you have a Dex score of 15. The PHB is a bit "meh" with the tie-breaker rules when it comes to Initiative. One common practice is that when two creatures/characters roll the same Initiative, the one with the higher Dex mod goes first. Some virtual tabletops(Roll20 and Foundry VTT for sure, maybe others) have the option to add your Dex score to your Initiative as a decimal, so that two creatures that roll the same for Initiative will automatically be ordered based on who has the higher Dex score.
I suspect it is the GM's job to turn that feature on or off. I'll talk to him.
If you are using the dndbeyond extension, then you set this feature on or off yourself. The DM can't change the setting within your dndbeyond extension.
Two of my players have it switched on, but I prefer to use the rule that the players/DM can decide in which order the creatures move if they share the same initiative. (The decision is made in the first round of combat, and then can't change.)

Thanks, JD.
Thanks, Pax,

does the frightened status affect initiative?
If the source of the fear is within sight, the frightened creature has disadvantage on ability checks. Initiative is a dexterity ability check.
