I have a player who wants to play a fire genasi genie warlock with a djinnni (air elemental) patron. Im blanking on good ideas for a plot i could set up for him. He made the pact in his teens while suffering under an addiction. The djinni helped him out and gave him his powers in expectance of something. He wants to play some sort of vigilante/monster hunter.
I thought he might be a descendant of a high ranking efreet and the djinni wants leverage or maybe use him to do something on the elemental plan of earth which air elementals are not welcome in. Im missing some sort of spark to get me going on plots that involve his character, mostly motivations of the involved elementals. If you have an idea to build on my concepts or a completely different approach pls let me know.
Rest of the group conisists of a tabaxi thief rogue who had a falling out with a major crime syndicate and seeks revenge.
An aaracokra creation bard, who traveled with a circus and now wants to explore the world on his own.
A dwarven zealot barbarian who is more or less crazy and follows or got chosen by the god of madness (gonna figure that out in game)
Want to start them off in a smaltown prison together with an npc who is gonna be important later on. The npc gets busted out and they disappear in the chaos.

I have a cult of Water Elemental worshipers in my setting. Maybe this Djinn wants some other elements knocked down a peg or two on the Material Plane.
Cum catapultae proscriptae erunt tum soli proscript catapultas habebunt
The dijinni is under tension with the god of madness. Could create tension if they ever outright declare war on each other
