So I'm a brand new Dm. I just finished putting together the lore of the world. My players wanted fantasy in space. I want it to be fun so I tried to be original. I'm curious for feedback. Do you think this setting would be a fun campaign?
All Known intelligent life originates from earth.
The Earth is Billions of years old. The 1960s were not the first time terrestrials have ventured into space. (Used magic not science)
There have been many societies that have developed space travel in Earth’s Life Span
Not all Human
None of it is in recorded history.
Until now.
Unknown to mammalian species, Dinosaurs had a unique magic allowing them to be not only the first terrestrials but also the first space-faring earthlings. Although all the dinosaurs on earth were wiped out. A few planetary colonies survived and evolved into more modern looking creatures. Dragonborn, tieflings, and the like.
After that, a multitude of new species emerged. Most of which produced some form of sentient life. Humans, dwarves, fae, animal races, etc.
All these races created advanced magical societies and eventually left earth to explore the cosmos. Except for the Humans. The humans preferred not to explore space, for a multitude of religious and superstitious reasons.
Eventually, the other races had such a limited presence on earth, the humans were able to expel them. Making earth human, and void of any other intelligent life.
All of this happened 100,000 years ago. A history nobody remembers.
Today even the humans have gone out to explore space, and have discovered a galaxy of amazement.
Each of the races that left earth, colonized and created a unique planetary culture and civilization. Dropping space travel with the rise and fall of empires. Evolving to their new environments. Now they are all exploring space again.

Factions and Disputes.
Fae Faction: Consists of Elves, Halflings, Half Angels
Culture: Intellectual and Magic based. The Fae Faction values intelligence and innate magic ability. The more powerful knowledge and magic one has is how Fae Faction determines a person’s worth. The Fae faction doesn’t believe in an afterlife the way the other factions do. Instead, they believe when one dies, their spirit ascends to the next plane of existence to become a minor god, angel, or guardian spirit. Due to this, death is considered a happy and joyous event. Faction survives by enchanting the Power Crystals to be power crystals.
Culture: Nordic. The Dragon Faction lives by a strict honor code. If one dies honorably in battle, they ascend to the mead halls of Seuraava Maailma. Faction Survives with Piracy and the conquering of smaller worlds and moons. (Especially enemy Faction Colonies)
Planet: Nuvarandeis. Icy and full of semi-fertile Tundra
Stone Faction: Dwarves, Halflings, Gnomes
Culture: Caste System. Strongly believes that if one is born to a lower caste, that person was dishonest in their previous life. Reincarnation repeats itself until one reaches perfection. Reincarnteable souls linger in a whirlpool of souls until a suitable body becomes available. Perfect souls are sent to Pallati. Palace of the Dead. Faction survives off of the mining of Power Crystals and other precious metals. (Major Trade Partners with Fae Faction)
Planet: Punës. Rocky Mineral-Rich Terrain.
Fang Faction: Animal Races.
Culture: Agricultural. The Fang Faction survives by producing a large portion of the food. They believe everything comes from the All-Crafter. They are monotheistic and see the other deities as angels (Or the devil) in the court of the All-Crafter. When they die, their souls go to dwell in the All-Crafter’s kingdom. Living in peace and happiness by his side.
Planet: Crafter’s Eye. Lush green forested planet.
Terran Faction: Humans
Culture: Nomadic. Relatively new to the scene, the humans used most of the natural resources on Earth. Being the adaptable race they are, humans saw a unique opportunity as nomadic traders. They keep a neutral position on Galactic politics, and can, therefore, trade with everyone. Making them one of the richest factions in the Galaxy. Humans worship the whole pantheon of deities (Except for Inanis) in order to have favor with each culture. In death, humans believe they go to Paradisum. A tropical paradise for those who acted with good moral character.
Deities
Inanis: goddess of the Void One thing all the factions have in common, is the belief that the unworthy are given to Inanis in death. Their souls are sucked into a black hole that transports them to the domain known as the Void.
Fulgur: Head god/god of Light & Creation Also known as All-Crafter by the Fang Faction
Cupula: goddess of friendship, family bonds, and marriage. Wife of Fulgur.
Nummus: god of wealth& prosperity
Ceres: goddess of the harvest and the hearth.
Certatus: god of war, disagreement, and struggle.
Lucina: goddess of childbirth, child rearing, and wisdom
I'm so nervous! I really want this to be a fun campaign! Is this something people would enjoy?
