Hi there! We recently completed an intro cinematic for the new season of our campaign and we're still mulling over some of the finer details – I was wondering if anyone had some constructive feedback (about just the video itself, not our stream as a whole). We've debated some little things back and forth as a group and would love an external eye (it's hard to be objective when you've spent so much time looking at it haha). More specifically:
Does it feel too long? Too short? Just right? We researched some other popular content creators and found that intro videos like this typically run 1-2 minutes long so we aimed for a loose goal of about 1:30.
Thematically does it tie together well? The campaign is about exploration, discovering lost secrets and piecing together bits of history to combat a looming threat and we wanted the general vibe of the intro to reflect that.
Does everything sync up? The music is original, composed by one of our players, and we obviously want all the hits, turns and sound effects to sync up – are there any points where you feel this doesn't happen or is a little off?
Are the names/credits up on the screen for long enough? We don't want it to be difficult to take all the information in, which is part of the reason why we didn't include character and player last names – keeping it short and to the point.
Other thoughts and comments are also welcome! We appreciate any help.
I am not an expert or a film critic by any stretch, but to me, the length and display of everything looked fine. I was impressed and to my untrained eye, it was flowing, gave me the basics of who was who and set me up to watch. Looked pretty much like I would expect and intro to a D&D stream to be, likely better than I expected, if I'm being honest. Nice work, IMO.

Honestly, I think the video is a fraction too slow. The into to the org and the rune to name transition is where I draw the main issue. I don't think there is a fix to that without drastically changing the song though.
I think a simple fix is to try watching the video at 1x speed, 1.1x speed, 1.15x speed, and 1.2x speed and determine which you guys like the best. I think you have everything nailed, it was only the speed of certain parts which was holding it back.

The only writing I saw was the first guy called Anthony (went a little quickly), the monster statblocks and then presumably the name of the campaign, "A pea beneat". Something has gone wrong, it seems.

If you're not willing or able to to discuss in good faith, then don't be surprised if I don't respond, there are better things in life for me to do than humour you. This signature is that response.
It feels very slow, many other intros share that duration. But they show a lot more. I played it at 1.5 and liked a whole lot more. But everything else seems fine
This is all very helpful and great feedback, thanks everyone! As someone pointed out, it's difficult to outright change the duration/speed without quite a bit of work on the music – but we might look into making a second, semi-abridged version that gets things moving a little quicker so we have some options.

I much preferred it at 1.5 speed, so speed it up by 50% would be my take
