Sounds like what you really need is a more durable party member to cast Warding Bond on you.
Wouldn't that be nice lol
So weirdly enough, our Druid JUST a few sessions ago cast awaken on a tiger that we kinda "inherited" and befriended from out ships last owner and our DM is agreeing to make it a sidekick (after some statblock editing to reduce base CR) and we did a group poll and thought the Spellcaster sidekick would work best story wise and utility wise (for reasons that would take a long time to talk about on a thread lol)
We're using the Druid/Cleric Spellcaster sidekick for him so maybe HE can learn warding bond and help-a-scrawny-elf-out xD
that would be awesome. or, you could make him an abjuration wizard who is your familiar. you would teach him spells and he would protect you. that would be real funny
A single level of Shadow Sorc wouldn't slow your spellcasting progression much, and would give you a (risky) way to avoid going unconscious once per day? You mention your character is "charismatic," is it too much to hope that they have 14+ Charisma? Of course, that doesn't really help much with BIG hits that would set the DC too high... but could help sometimes ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
My last game I played a very squishy sorcerer. I managed to get myself a Broom of Flying, so I would fly into range, pop my spells, and fly out of range again. Since you need to stay within range for Counterspell, you can’t do quite the same thing, but it would give you more movement speed and options.
And of course there’s always the Bracers of Defense.

I live with several severe autoimmune conditions. If I don’t get back to you right away, it’s probably because I’m not feeling well.
You are 10th level, if you can hold out 1 more level to 11, you'll get 6th level spells. You will be able to Magic Jar yourself a new body. Something tougher.

Lol. The road to lichdom starts with such intentions...

Also at 11th level, you get access to Tenser's Transformation (XGtE) and Tasha's Otherworldy Guise (TCoE). Tenser's Transformation would be the better option, as it grants 50 temporary HP, almost doubling your hit points. Tasha's Otherworldy Guise givers you immunity to two damage types, which you can base off of the creatures you're fighting, and a condition that they might be able to effect you with. However, both of these require concentration, so that's taking up a big resource.

"I never thought I'd die fighting side by side with an elf."
If the Wizard's survivability is enough of an issue that DM is just handing out Bladesinging, and the party is still actively looking for ways to boost them, then it seems like something fairly dramatic is warranted.
Perhaps the character is just not suited for survival in such a dangerous environment? Depends on the table of course, but I don't think it's a D&D law that the world changes to make characters survive. But whatever is fun, that's the most important thing. What I'm trying to say is that perhaps the wizard is doomed to die eventually.

Find your own truth, choose your enemies carefully, and never deal with a dragon.
"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.
Wouldn't that be nice lol

I don't know if/how you could get access to Silence but you don't need to roll a save if the enemy can't cast the spell!

I'm going to make this way harder than it needs to be.
THP is always nice. Upcasted False Life could give you more resilience.
You could also try to get a ring of evasion or learn Fortune's Favor if Wildemount is on the table.

Take the feat TOUGH +2 hp for every level at level 12 that is 24 hp right then

Have you looked at 1st level spell False life upcast it and it's a bit of a cushion to keep you on your feet

"I never thought I'd die fighting side by side with an elf."
"What about side by side with a side?"
"Aye, I eye eye eye."
Tensor's Transformation also prevents you from casting spells for the duration.

No it doesn’t - the spells are just now cast with your fists and they are attack rolls that do 2d12 extra damage. Haha! /s
You rolled a 1 on your humor check.

You rolled a 0 with modifiers on your insight check, and took that post way too seriously.
I didn't take the post too seriously, it just seriously failed to actually be funny.
