If I use (Mordenkainen's) Magnificent Mansion and decide to store items inside the mansion, what happens after the spell ends? The spell effect says creatures are ejected, but it says nothing about objects. If I cast the spell again, will the objects be in their same place within the mansion or would they be lost?

I would say that you can either rule that items are treated the same way as creatures or they simply get lost in hyperdimensional space. The reason being that every time you cast the spell you get to decide how it looks and you create new floors and rooms, implying that you're not conjuring the same mansion every time you cast it but rather you're creating a new one on the spot.
I agree with the others. Magnificent Mansion appears to create a new space every time you cast it, just like Rope Trick, so you can't use it to find something you left behind. A DM could rule the objects fall out, like with Rope Trick, but strictly speaking RAW, they do not. That means it should work like Demiplanewithout the ability to automatically connect to previous casting's plane - i.e. anything you leave behind simply stays there, in an extradimensional space you have no intrinsic way to locate or access.
I remember I had a discussion with my DM about this the first time I played a game until we got high enough to learn the spell. Ultimately we realized if it was possible to store items in it, then it would say so in the description... but we still just homebrewed it to let the players store stuff in there, since it kind of became our home base and it was fun for people to customize their rooms and stuff. It didn't unbalance the game particularly... but then again we weren't really looking for ways to try and manipulate the system with it. We all just embraced it for roleplay and avoided trying to screw with the DM's plans.

I’d also say no storage. For that, you need demiplane, a higher level spell.
