Maybe you want to try Path of the Beast to make up for your smallness, so that your inability to wield heavy weapons doesn't impact you as much in big battles?
Ancestral Guardian to force stuff to attack you even without dealing a lot of damage, since heavy weapons are not an option and grappling when small is tough.
Alternatively, the one with the Auras to boost your small party's durability.
Neither is very exciting on its own when looking at it purely mathematically, but tbf most Barbarian subclasses are like that. The fun should not come from the mechanics.
One often overlooked option is the Lance. Use it for non-heavy (I think?) 1d12 damage. Does require 2 hands, but who cares? Worst part is the disadvantage within 5' but you can find many ways to solve that. One option is the Eagle Totem which gives enemies disadvantage on AoO. You also get to waste their reactions, which is pretty nice, and since that happens before you attack, they won't get advantage on it even if you use Reckless Attack.
A fun thing to do is a Dex barbarian. yes you miss out on the Strength damage bonus in rage, but I'm imaging this pint-sized whirling terror of dual wielded scimitars. Or once you can take the Dual Wielder feat - dual wielding a whip and a rapier!

Halfling brawler! Start going monk and punch and grapple! Luchador!!!
I know what you're thinking: "In that flurry of blows, did he use all his ki points, or save one?" Well, are ya feeling lucky, punk?
Brawler characters are always fun. I've got a fighter/barbarian with the unarmed fighting style from Tasha's and it's been super fun.
