As a PC in a vacuum, necrotic probably since there's a lot more monsters that do some necrotic damage than radiant. That said, it really depends on the campaign; if you'll be going up against a religious sect of some kind that's gonna feature Paladins and Clerics as enemies, radiant resistance becomes a lot more useful.
Yeah, I agree with Ace... unless you're overtly being placed in a campaign that puts you up against celestials or some group of Divine casters, you're much more likely to encounter necrotic damage. Even outside of magic, some monsters just output necrotic damage. I think that the game designers sometimes replace something that seems like it should be poison damage (like how some fungus-monsters have spores that deal necrotic damage) partly to compensate for the fact that it's fairly easy to get poison resistance.
Is it better to be resistant to necrotic or radiant?

And now you too can play with the amazing art and assets we use in Roll20 for our campaign at Hazel's Emporium
I'd definitly take resistance to necrotic damage as probabilities favor it over radiant .
