So I might need a little help with what's happening next in my DND campaign. Basically... we need to stop my old character (who became a Zombie) and who is trying to summon Vecna. However the Dungeon Mistress has given us some rules to help us out. (My character's Deity is Chauntea btw)
"Ladies, gents and dice goblins. As you know I will be gone on vacation and will be able to do DND on the 11th. Giving you all time to prepare with the maps above! As this is a big (not scheduled) boss fight. You all will be getting a few things!
One. You will all get 4 exp for surviving the zombie run through the sewers! (Except Dales rip your death)
Two. Cause you all are surrounded by holy spaces. During your four hour short rest. You can contact your Deity of your choice. And request help, for guidance or heavenly wisdom, whatever you would like to call it.
So please send me your deities in separate chats not in the main chat. Message me directly. As well as what you will be requesting from said deity. Now because this is a very special boon, and the area you're in is special. Despite being corrupted by a bunch of walking dead. You all will have advantage on your religion roles. But I am going to lay down some ground rules of what you can or cannot ask.
1. You are allowed to ask for you to be well rested. (Which is a full rest period. Which can give you all your spell slots back.) Please bear in mind that wording is everything and I will take your wording seriously so think carefully.
2. No asking to turn back time, I know none of your gods are God's around time and even if some are, they are not going to go back a full 4 days before the zombie apocalypse happened. The best they could do is go back a couple of hours. So don't ask for that.
3. You can ask for say a specific one-time spell, with in your deities range of spells, and as long as a spell is not over a level 4 spell. But it would only be a one-time use similar to a one-time scroll.
4. You cannot ask to make yourself entirely Invincible. The best you're going to get is monk sanctuary, which you can use is the last ditch effort to save your ass. I'm not making you immortal for a fight.
5. If you are going to ask for increased spell slots, you're going to have to have creative wording for it. You must already know said spells that you were planning on adding, and it would only be temporary for the fight.
6. I'm just going to put it out there. Anything you ask for from the deities will be temporary. It will not be a permanent fixture.
7. Any other weird bizarre requests you guys have, message me privately in DMS. And I will get to it when I'm back from drinking samosas on a beach.
Feel free to strategize amongst yourselves as much as you want. I do know one of you has a new character sheet to make. Considering I am out of the country I will not be able to assist much. But discord is full of players who know the book well and can be able to assist. So if you have any questions besides home brewing. Like how to build a character please ask in the chat.
Also bear in mind I will not be answering questions while I'm on vacation. I am on vacation for a reason, it will also be very hard for me to get most of your stuff, so expect a wait time and do not be pissy, if I'm not answering you right away.
Other than that, have fun. Try to plan to survive this one, try not to die. Remember, you are strategizing as a team to survive, not sabotaging each other for the Fame and Glory. Also, I highly suggest making backup characters, in case you lose. The city is lost, and the entire story will shift. Whether your character survived or not, to a new plot line. Make sure your backup characters involve a pirate theme. Because if you guys fail, you guys will be starting up the new season of the campaign. In Tortuga.
I can provide a map if necessary. But I'm at a loss as this is the first time I've had to deal with something THIS BIG.

About what level is this encounter? Level 4 spells suggest that this is about 7 or 8, but that could be artificially higher or lower because these are bonus spells from a deity.

My class is level 7 Paladin, Oath of Watchers. And my previous character (the one trying to summon Vecna) is a level 8 Barbarian. Totem Warrior with Eagle Totems. Most of the group has level 7 or 8 characters.
