Anyway, by the time people are likely to be spamming disintegrate on you, true resurrection should be a theoretically available (if expensive) option. There's also clone as an ahead-of-time prep.
The OP said their character was level 12 so quite a long way from being able to cast true resurrection or clone themselves. Whether a level 12 party have access to an NCP who can cast is it down to the campaign / DM.
I would also point out that cone needs to be cast 120 days before the clone is able to be used. Many campaigns do not last that long in total, a party are likely to be close to level 12 (or after) before they could even consider the possibility of paying 3000 GP plus a spell services fee for an 8th level spell per character in order to buy insurance against disintegrate or similar. I have played a few campaigns that have gone to high level and clone has never been considered.
tips have a paladin on the party, aura of protection is really good, run abjuration wizard if you hate dying to random spellcasters and spells in general, but this is just me glazing abjuration wizard, my favourite subclass is easily abjuration wizard fix up your saves with resillence, i almost always take that feat, items that grant +1 to all saving throws are really valuable, like ring of protection remeber, if they are dead/can't take turns, they also can't cast disintergrate, so taking alert(which you should in 5.5e) and moving first or other intivitive increasers are useful were there no counterspell users in your party? or were they out of reactions? mage slayer got a pretty big buff, question, what was the team comp at the time,
