Sharpshooter first. Piercer at next ASI/feat choice if someone wants it. Has paid off well for me personally - I've had multiple crits where I'm adding ANOTHER damage die because of piercer.
CLARIFICATION: there are better feats than piercer. Just saying if your character is counted on for doling out damage, piercer isn't horrible
