Pact magic works similar to 5e, but they are prepared casters and will prepare differently than other 1dnd classes since Pact magic is so different than spellcasting.
They become regular spellcasters and still have eldritch blast.
I believe the Wizard will out shine the sorcerer again in 1dnd.
I believe metamagic feats will be available for all casters. Sorcerers will just be able to take more if they want since they have class levels dedicated to taking metamagic feats and will also be able to take them at ASI levels.
The spellbook will allow wizards to break the current 1dnd prepare system. Either they will be able to use the spellbook to cast spells they didn’t prepare the normal way, have spells in the book count as always prepared, or use a 10 mins reading the book to swap what spells they have prepared/proficiency mod times per day to change a prepared spell as an action.
Also since wizards had a lot of dead levels were all they really got was more spells expect them to get a bunch of ribbon abilities and probably some cool things too.
