I had bookmarked it and was hoping to throw it into my campaign once my players reached level 5 - they're about a session away from level up so I went to prep it and saw it was gone! I'm planning to re-build it from what I remember and still use the concept. If anyone remembers any details I'd be so grateful for input... specifically details about
the fake Decaton (I remember it was sort of like a mech with a doppelganger inside and needed some kind of shapeshifter to operate it... but I don't remember what stats were suggested for it or much else in the way of details)
Maybe they are being updated, since a brand new March is nearly here?
<fingers crossed>
that's a possibility! I hope you're right. I'm kicking myself for not having prepped these further ahead; I usually copy all the important parts into something offline for myself.
There is a Mage that has an amulet that enables him to control one of the statues of Waterdeep.
The mage's plan was to bribe the doppelganger in the Decaton Chassis to create a credible threat to Waterdeep and he would animate one of the Giant Statues to defend the city to be its saviour.
I can't remember the Mage's name, but he was described as skinny, sallow and paranoid. All I remember about the stats for the fight was that the statue has stats for a big foot that is used to try to crush the party on its turn.

I ran the March Madness Encounters of the week during 2020.
They are no longer available in the Articles archive. What happened? Are they going to be made available again?

Would they be in archive.org ?
Don't know why I didn't think to check--yeah, the wayback machine has some of them! Sadly it looks like the fifth installment was never archived, but the first four are there!

(Still going to try to re-create that final fight if anyone remembers anything about it!)
