Soon I'll be testing a simple synergistic build with 8 levels of Paladin (Oath of Conquest) and 1 level of Warlock (Hexblade). The chosen race will be Dragonborn with the feat Dragon Fear that transforms the breath weapon in a "fear aura" Charisma based. As a bonus this character will be a Half-dragon (template) but this will not modify anything in the progression.
Charisma will be my main attribute. Used to attack and deal damage. I'll be also using Charisma to fear my enemies and catch then in my conquest aura. The objective is to use a Adamantine weapon to control and disarm opponents. It goes as follows:
STR 13 (+2 Dragonborn), DEX 10, CON 15, INT 10, WIS 12, CHA 18 (+1 Dragonborn, +1 Dragon Fear, +2 ASI)
Breath Weapon: each creature of your choice within 30 feet of you to make a Wisdom saving throw (DC16).
Aura o conquest: The aura extends 10 feet from you in every direction, but not through total cover. If a creature is frightened of you, its speed is reduced to 0 while in the aura, and that creature takes psychic damage equal to half your paladin level if it starts its turn there.
Conquering Presence: You can use your Channel Divinity to exude a terrifying presence. As an action, you force each creature of your choice that you can see within 30 feet of you to make a Wisdom saving throw (DC 16). On a failed save, a creature becomes frightened of you for 1 minute.
Hexblade's Curse: 30ft target, 1 minute, 19 - 20 critical, proficiency as bonus damage, if cursed target dies regains 8 HP.
Hex Warrior: charisma based attack and damage.
Itens: cloack of protection (+1), Shield (+1), adamantine plate armor, brooch of shielding, gauntlets of ogre power, adamantine longsword (+2).
Status: to hit chance +10 adamantine longsword, 5ft reach one target, 16 (1d8 +12).
Any comments?
[Interaction with Objects]
Characters can also damage objects with their weapons and spells. Objects are immune to poison and psychic damage, but otherwise they can be affected by physical and magical attacks much like creatures can.
The DM determines an object's Armor Class and hit points, and might decide that certain objects have resistance or immunity to certain kinds of attacks. (It's hard to cut a rope with a club, for example.) Objects always fail Strength and Dexterity saving throws, and they are immune to effects that require other saves. When an object drops to 0 hit points, it breaks.
A character can also attempt a Strength check to break an object. The DM sets the DC for any such check.
