I would like to hear some of your best moments in any campaign you played in. It can be when you're a DM or a player. Examples: Outsmarting the DM, rolling a nat20 for something cool, any kinds of close calls, etc.
Our first campaign that our group of friends had played was Curse of Strahd. Our DM brought a bit of levity to the campaign from time to time and we with a clutch nat 20 roll from our warlock we convinced Strahd that we would throw him a bachelor's party at Argynvostholt. This was part of a plan to possibly ambush him with the aid of the knightly ghosts that were left there but one thing led to another and we started playing drinking games with him. While trying to find a way to ambush him we went and found a room that held a few giant spiders.
"Hey Strahd you feel like sport killing during your bachelor party?"
"Sure"
"Hey Strahd would you like to fly into the room propelled by magic? You'll have to forgive me though it may hurt a bit" (ended up having a great persuasion roll)
"Why not? Sounds like that could be fun."
Cue warlock hitting Strahd in the middle of his back using a well placed Eldritch Blast with repelling blast. That is when the DM who's plan's had been thoroughly broken by the party just leaning into the situation. "Strahd is propelled into the air as you can hear him laugh and say "WEEEEE!"
Lastly, in the same campaign during the final fight with Strahd, Rahadin, and backstabbing turncoat of a party member we were all but dead. Our warlock had sat on Gaseous Form the entire game and hadn't used it. As a last ditch effort to kill something he cast Gaseous Form and attempted to fly into Rahadin's lungs. Well he ended up rolling a nat 20 after the DM indicated he roll against Rahadin's Constitution Save to prevent the gas from entering his body. Rahadin failed and the 9+ foot tall Minotaur forced his gaseous body into Rahadin's lungs.
"I drop Gaseous Form."
The DM describes how a very large cow man erupts from the chest cavity of Rahadin killing him and knocking himself almost unconscious at the same time where Strahd infuriated by what just happened killed the Minotaur. A good death lol.
Playing a CN murder hobo in a party of good aligned serious players. Turned out the party had been selected for an epic quest by an ancient magical power.
My character (half drow) falls to his knees. "Why would you pick me? I'm a half breed! I'm a bastard! I'm a murderer!"
Druid just totalling ad libbing it. "Chaos and destruction are crucial to the cycle of life and death. Whatever you are. Whatever you've done, you have a place in this world."
Set off a whole new character arc for that character.
We had a moment when the party camped with their horses under a griffon nest. Whilst they were setting up camp the griffons descended and attacked the horses. Combat starts.
-about 10 minutes into combat-
DM (Me): Okay Barb, it's your horses turn and he's going to flee and--
Barb: No. My horse is now coward. Randy fights. (The horses name was Randy)
DM: -Shrug- Okay then, the horse attacks the griffon and... crits
Now Randy was a Draft Horse and was on his own against 2 griffons, the party were about 80ft away from the fight. Randy downs one griffon by round 2, having dealt 19 damage with his first attack, 10 damage with his 2nd attack and then critting again with an AoO as the bloody griffon tried to flee (The griffons were designed to flee at below half health) for another 17 damage, killing it. The CR 1/4 horse took down a CR 2 Griffon. The 2nd griffon then proceeded to down 2 players before it was eventually killed, by a final blow from Randy. It's not everyday your party is overshadowed by a horse.

I understand what you feel. Once, in my homebrew campaign, my lvl 6 druid's pet Pelter (basically a mini pig unicorn) defeated my party's barbarian in a bet, a duel. I won 300 gold pieces for that. It was very embarrassing for the barbarain, as my Pelter defeated him with 2 crits. He wanted to get rid of it, which would be his part of deal if he won. Guess I get to keep him, I said. This was in the middle of a forest, but I called some animals to watch the embarrassment of the barb. Poor him...
