I have a family (Mom, Dad & son) who are wanting to play DnD. My daughter goes to Jr HS with their son & thats how this started (she told em of our weekly game we host at home) The dad played 30+ years ago, mom is totally new as is the son. So I had the 5 part "trial of the apprentice" that will get them to level 5. (Or I can use the candlekeep mysteries since I preordered it when it was offered) Got them on DnD beyond & this is where I am needing some help.
I thought, since I purchased the resource book bundle, they would be able to access them on DDB because I added them to the campaign. I havent seen them yet to verify what they can or cant see/do. So I would like to be better prepared by Sat when we meet at our local gaming center. The adults were able to create a character using the resources, but not able to research choices for the info on the choices? Am I not fully understanding the feature and sharing?
I tried a search, but didnt see a thread that would help me understand how the share would be.
create a campaign on DDB and send invite links to the players
Players:
Use that link and create new characters. They don't have to finish creating them, or they can always edit them, but they need to have a character in that campaign to access the shared material (anything anyone in the campaign, including you, has purchased on DDB), either in the campaign (for making the character) or to read the sources on DDB generally.
Once they've started a character and have read the materials for research they can go back and finish the character.
You should probably have their email addresses or something so you can a. try and go over some stuff before you meet up (though going over character setup, gameplay expectations, etc at your first meetup as a group should happen anyway) b. in case you want to share information/images/etc on Google Drive or Dropbox or something. There's no file hosting here for images etc.
BINGO! I dont think I have the master tier sub. Now to figure how to upgrade my tier to master. Your AWESOME !! Thanks.
Contact support. There's no way for you to do that yourself without what you paid for your current subscription going to waste, but they might be able to help you.

Want to start playing but don't have anyone to play with? You can try these options: [link].
I did & they got right back to me. AND...I didnt lose any characters in the process!
"Thanks for reaching out to us! We don't have a subscription upgrade system currently. That is something that our billing developer is working on building from scratch. What we can do is offer you a prorated refund for the unused time on the subscription. From there you would be free to purchase the subscription that meets your needs. You will not lose any characters or content in the process. Just let me know if this is something that you would be interested in doing when you have time."
